Thanks Dan, I stand corrected, that ole gear jammer in CA is correct. Guess I never tried them in either Marathon. Even if I could I wouldn’t, 10 AC amps overnight with all the other draws would have me on the generator well before morning.

Bernie, these are luxury coaches and none of us wants our tender bodies to feel cool temps.
People spend thousands to go to FL southern CA and AZ so they don’t feel the cold.

Why heat the whole bus when your in the bedroom. Why not cycle the electric toe kick heater in the bedroom off the inverter?

One of the Road Warrior centers is in Houston where I am. Called them this morning. They are a warehouse operation, no tire mounting available. But the price of each tire includes shipping to where you are. If in Houston, they will put them in your truck bed if you wish to pick them up.
The tires are made in China with quality control verified by the folks in the USA similar to Double Coin.
My tire dealer can sell me my size tire 295 75R 22.5 installed on my coach for less money than their tire. My current tire made by Uniroyal were less than their tire. They sell most brands including Michelin. Price quoted for tires are down the road, no extra fees.
But these installed tire deals are in the greater Houston area in Sealy, TX, at exit 723 on I-10. So if not nearby, Road Warrior might just be something to consider.

Unbelievable, I have never seen so much junk come out….Yes the valves in and out of the system were off. So for we assume the majority of the coach life…Once the line were off and we blew every line out, clearing out all the hardened material…(Les thought it was similar to when he walks the dogs) Part of it for sure is left over from the original soldering flux….End of the day we have heat for them…

Tom since you also have an H3-40 with an 8v-92, what temps are you running?

Toyman,
I have the same issue going on, the back end of the rod seems to be a nightmare to get to. Looks like we can learn this process together. Can’t get motivated, 30 in GA and flurries….

Something to consider…….Saturday evening on our way back to Illinois from Sarasota, FL we stopped in Jacksonville at a large mall for some late dinner at Logans Roadhouse. After parking on a slant I noticed during my usual walk around, oil was draining from the left front axle on the 02 XLII we were driving. After a quick call to the owner, who was at the Pelican Lake show, some valuable info was gleaned which was that occasionally the small vent hole in the rubber plug in the center of the Stemco cap can become plugged and due to expansion from road heat may pop out. After asking for and recieving some rubber gloves from our accomodating server at Logans:) I popped the outer hub cover and sure enough the rubber plug was laying there. I took a toothpick and cleaned out the vent hole, put the plug back in and we were good to go. Interesting how such a small thing can lead to potentially big problems. So the takeaway might be to carry a toothpick with you as part of your oil level maintenance check and just verify the little breather hole is open on all axles. Cheap tip but one that may have significant value.

So, just as a precaution, I have changed everything on my website to refer to “RV Dash” now instead of “RV Glass Dash”.
As soon as I do a bug-fix release or update, I will rename the app officially.

I would have the refrigerant charge checked. When the units are acting like heat pumps the unit is actually operating backwards with the evaporator functioning as the condenser, in essence transferring heat out into the house instead of transferring it to the outside as it does when functioning as an AC.
John Klopp……….any advice?
