I could not use the card in Duluth as the local dealer would not accept it. He was a jerk anyway, so I went elsewhere with my business. He had all kinds of reasons why he would not accept it, but they were all bogus.

Not that it matters as I don’t live there anymore.

FWIW, I have used synthetic atf in my 1989 and 1999 buses with no leaks. My experiences with both shift quality and running temperatures mirror those of the op. I now have 260,000 miles on my 1999, most of it towing at 65,000 to 70,000 pounds gross weight. Sold my 1989 at 300,000 miles; most towing at 55,000 lbs.

    Larry,

Marathon is the only converter that isolates it’s Aux air from Prevost Air. Your belt tension is aired on your Prevost side. Tom told you how to fill your bags if you choose with the yellow valve in the front run box.

All house items are on your Marathon aux side, none of it comes from the Prevost side unless you open the yellow valve which you should not do.

People trying to help is good but but none of it is relevant unless they know how a Marathon is plumbed.

    Later

Richard this brings up a great Question for me also. Today I was looking at my aux compressor compartment. On the back wall of Bay 1 there is an access door where my aux compressor is. I replaced the filter, and added a water trap, but i am wondering if there should be a fan here sitting on top of this grate? Anyone have an access area like this? I guess this is How my generator gets fresh air from under the Bus?

I think there’s thread creep here.
Given the problem you described, I’d call the Nashville area shop that recently serviced your Cruise-Airs and/or the fine folks at:

    AAP
    Fred Pickering
    16388 Industrial Drive
    Milford VA
    (804) 633-9454

Fred and his crew are the Cruise-Air experts. They should be able to help you diagnose and your problem.

Also you may switch to “HAPPY CAMPER” treatment for your black tank. I never get any smell when treated with that. Amazon Prime has it for sale. The BEST treatment I have ever used…….

    Safe travels

    Following this thread.

Jon, none of my three roof air run through the Xantrex Inverter/Charger. I wish at least one of them was configured to do that. I start the generator before I even get out of the garage and once I do that I turn on all three A/C units. I put as much load as possible on the 20Kw generator.

Hope all of the PC community is doing well.

I owned coach 1026 new from 2009 until 2015 when I traded it in to Liberty. It was a very good coach. Roger Foster bought it from Liberty, and I think he was happy with it too. Which one are you thinking about?

March 8, 2021 at 10:10 am in reply to: Hi Time Generator Engine UOA

Here’s the latest excellent used oil analysis (UOA) report for our 17.5 kw PowerTech genny Kubota V2203 engine with 13,300 hrs on it now. It’s been trouble free in the 7+ yrs that we’ve owned it.

This UOA report is about Shell Rotella T3 15w40 w/200 hrs on it. The filter was a Fram Ultra XG3593A.

Back in May 2018 and 440 hrs ago I sent in a sample of oil for analysis. The results indicated high lead and copper. This indicated to me it was time for rod bearings, not uncommon when a diesel engine reaches half life. I changed them and this is the 3rd excellent UOA report since I changed the rod bearings.
We replenished the oil w/Shell Rotella T4 15w40 and filter a Fram Ultra XG3593A.
