Power to generater radiator fans
Posted by Greg on January 22, 2021 at 10:56 amDoes anyone know where the 12 volt fan on the roof radiator get their power. I have a 05 Legendary with two 12 volt fans but don’t know where it feeds from. Looked in the gen power box.

Greg, this answer is as close to fertilizer as you can get because I have no clue. But I would suggest the fan power comes through a relay or some device that keeps the circuit open until 120V generator power is sensed.
I have no specific knowledge of Legendary, but I would look from the fans backwards until I came to whatever switching device is in the circuit that is opened or closed based on generator power output.

Jon,
That’s exactly what I was looking for and found it. It’s second bay back on the passenger side behind a little panel. Three fusses and three relays. Found it fixed it, it’s the finding part that wares you out. Makes no sense generator and fans are on driver side but power and control on passenger side.

Greg, This is John from Ennis, I am looking at purchasing a 08 Legendary that has had the complete panel fix. It has 160k miles and seems to be in good condition. I really like the style of this coach and wanted to check with other owners there thoughts before purchasing! Thanks for any help you can give!

I owned coach 1026 new from 2009 until 2015 when I traded it in to Liberty. It was a very good coach. Roger Foster bought it from Liberty, and I think he was happy with it too. Which one are you thinking about?

Mark is correct. I was very pleased with the Legendary. Would still own it but the wife was in for different look after about 6 years.

I’m fairly happy with this coach. I’m having skin problems now and going to Fort Worth to get a fix estimate. I’ve spent a lot on it but some of it was my mistakes. I love the ride and drive or the Prevost over anything else I’ve had. I didn’t do the research before buying but I’m still happy. Biggest problem is lack of mfg support buts that’s with most.
