This is the one I use. I changed the tire chuck to a straight one and every time I use it I give it a shot of air whether I need to adjust pressure or not, just to clear the valve seat of any foreign matter that may prevent a seal.

This is Griot’s garage and the one I have which I have had a long time is digital and is always right on or within 1 PSI of the Pressure Pro.

I am sure there are others of a similar nature. I was a pain using a tire pressure gauge and then having to use a tire chuck but with both in a single device if is a lot more convenient. If I remove the tire chuck and I still sense a leak it takes nothing more than another shot of air to seat the vbalve.

When I purchased mine, the previous owner had made one transynd change. I completed the changeover process with a second. It does take at least 2 a few thousand miles apart to get a complete change over. That is a $1000 trip.

My temperature dropped a good 50 degrees. It shifts smoothly except on a hard stop the final downshift to first can be hard.

If it has old Dextron now it is likely loaded with adsorbed water and will shift rough. Get that out. It someone put Dextron III in it will have a lot of water.

Check it cold in neutral at an 1/8inch pipe plug on the side of the transmission. fluid should just come out. If overfilled it will foam and overheat. Let it drain out to this level on changeout.

Check it hot in neutral when using the dipstick.

Unfortunately I have tried both phone numbers (left message) and email. All to no avail. Was just wishing him well. Hope he is ok!

    Thank you for your help!

Les, Glen is not going to be looking for the shift pad. If he is taught to anticipate hills and control his speeds he will have topped the hill and proceeded down in the correct gear at his target speed. Using the jake or retarder for speed control going down a hill is a procedure to practice and unlike emergency stopping it is something dealt with easily in a routine manner. A quick glance is all it takes to select the correct jake or retarder setting along with hitting a shift pad arrow, up or down. Managing speed just takes practice but if you reprogram the downshift it actually will make it harder for a driver hoping to avoid harsh downshifts.

I hope his trainer emphasizes as a driver he will get a lot of performance from the coach, going up or down hills by manually shifting up and down and using the throttle in concert with the shifts. He needs to fully understand climbing a hill requires manual downshifting, the use of “performance mode” and use of the cruise control to get maximum HP. Then going down the opposite side of the hill uses similar control, but in the reverse way. With practice the use of brakes can be avoided. Going down the hill the thing to avoid is over revving the engine and a transmission programmed to drop multiple gears can do just that.

Also, as a driver gains experience his hand can go to any switch or device without seeking for it.

We had a similar situation.. we were told that the valve we needed for our slide would have to come from Canada to Houston then to us in Lufkin.. ( as Houston needed to check the part first)

I figured a couple of weeks.. but had it in 2 days..I was shocked… awesome service on Prevost’s part.

    Cheers, Diane

I don’t know about Direct, but Dish has an add-on module that integrates OTA with all the normal Dish functions. OTA channels appear in the guide. After arriving at a new location we just deploy the dish antenna, do the normal OTA scan with the Razor, and proceed with the setup.

You might want to check with Direct and see if they offer a similar module for OTA integration.

(By the way, we use the Dish Hopper and Joey in the bus and move them from the house to the bus as we travel)
