Has anyone spoken with the folks at TSD on the phone? I tried the office numbers for the four people listed, but just got a generic voice mailbox for each. I left a message on Tara’s cell phone on Monday, but no response yet. I’m not clear on filling out the paperwork they provide, so I’m stuck in limbo.

Man, that’s just inspiring. I’m about to launch on my first real trip of leisure since buying my 1984 Liberty Coach four years ago. I made the Evansville rally a few years ago on the way to see Jeff, then took the long way home for about 3000 miles total, but the bus was in the early stages of “overhaul.” It hasn’t moved much since then, but I’ve kept chipping away at projects. I was running out of show-stopping squawks, so I made a final push this month so I can take it with me down to Florida for a few weeks. Of course, I have work scheduled along the way.
Thanks for sharing your story. I hope to start creating my own now.

I have used the IE to download the files in zip format and expanded them and still when I try to install i get errors

The chute is just a crutch. It will cause some to take risks above their training and skill level. When you use it you now have lost all control since you`re at the mercy of the wind.

why would a valve leak out the exhaust port ? i would think it would be faulty. my ram and lines are good. thanks for the reply.

We finally signed up for the TSD fuel card recently. Two things were holding us back.
1st) we rarely need to purchase fuel when on the road. We rarely travel more than 300 miles away from home. And back home we’ve been paying no more than $1.70/gal for diesel at the local grocery store for years now. With 250 gal capacity we have more than enough range to go out and back without needing to stop for diesel.2nd) The wife insist on keeping a sizable sum of $ in our joint checking acct all the time. Being the flip phone owner/operators that we are, we minimize our online banking activities. I finally setup a separate individual checking acct that is linked to the fuel card and keep a smaller amount of $ in it.My longest day in the bus(pulling a loaded enclosed trailer) was 950 miles. From a rest area in Iowa to our home near San Antonio, TX on I-35 on a busy Sunday. I never drive faster than 65 mph. -
I use CoPilot. It has a low annual fee and is updated daily as long as you have internet access. The system Does Not need internet to operate just to update. You can set height and weight restrictions. If you do have internet connected while using you also get traffic updates and rerouting .

I think this is accurate. I believe all my Liberty hush boxes had similar foam and I believe all had a layer of lead. The density of lead is very good for dealing with sound.

Me too. We’ve had coolant analysis done 5 times in the 7+ yrs that we’ve owned our bus. Here is a link and a pic from July 2020 when we got the latest report.

Thanks George, I didn’t know I had that much flexibility left. I did not pull the genny. I crawled behind it way too many times. I’m not known for my abs!

I have not run it yet since I finished. I used the 1″ soundown replacing the 2″ egg crate foam. The foam was very heavy almost oily after 27 years of service. So I suspect the new should work better.
Interesting the roof had about 3/4 inch of dense foam covered with what looks like a sheet of lead then the 2 inches of foam. I left the dense foam and and the sheet metal in place. My guess is that contributes significantly to noise reduction inside the coach. The left side wall also had metal installed. I took the foam off the inside of the bay door several years ago because of the crumbling.
I may notice if it does not work as well but better performance may be hard to know. I’ll try to run it tomorrow.

A plug is an option. So is a ball valve, but that involves an elbow to keep it from being too low if I recall the height issue.
The only reason I can think for a valve instead of a plug is if you want to drain it down a little, but not all the way. I do not ever recall doing that. I replaced my draincocks with what you show and now I am wondering why.
