    Hey H J,

If you have not figured it out yet. The people on here love to help others spend their money. And whatever RV or coach you decide to purchase. I urge you to look into the tyron safety bands for your steer tires. Watch the videos on the tyron website. Should you ever have a blowout , they will allow you to steer and stop the coach safely. And keep you from possibly doing a rollover. The TPMS Pulse tire pressure and heat monitor is also a great safety feature. Good luck with your search. BTW, I have no affiliation with tyron or TPMS. They just are products that i believe in.

    Safe travels,

    Rocky

Does anyone remember when PC was a family oriented web site?

Larry started this downward spiral. Tom just added a little speed to it.

Hard to believe the news of Peter’s passing. Our travels never crossed with each other but reading all of the above posts truly shows how many lives this man had contact with. Surely his business contacts would make the bus people a very small group.

    Peter RIP

Been to Red Bay & did the factory tour. So glad we went with our Prevost! It may cost more to maintain, but I’ve never heard anyone refer to it as a piece of junk.

As opposed to the guy sitting at Naples Motorcoach Resort during Clawfest, with a sign in his high-end plastic coach which read, “This coach is a lemon”!

We often have to deal with the 10 year old coach rule when we have some rallies.

This is one of the coaches that does not qualify. It is original paint and I defy anyone to tell us why the 10 year rule should even exist for Prevost Coaches. Of course all Buddy has been doing is cleaning his coach and it looks great.

Andy, the U620L seems to be in its own category of device by Verizon and few folks at the stores know about it. It is a comparatively very low sales volume device. I switched to the unlimited data plan, so it exists for the U620L like the phone plans, but it has its own price scale which isn’t visible on, say, verizonwireless.com. I’m at $100/mos for the unlimited on the U620L vs. $80 for a phone.

You cannot select the unlimited plan for the U620L on the website, I had to talk to someone on the phone to do so. There was no problem or hesitation to do so, but if you just buy a U620L on the web, the web will steer you to a fixed capacity “new plan” that has carryover data.

How does one connect a JetPack to a separate wifi router? I do not think you can connect an Ethernet port to a JetPack, which is the standard WAN input to a wifi router. Further, I don’t think (though I do not know) if a JetPack will allow its wifi network to be extended by a wifi router (much like you cannot extend the wireless signal when hotspotting your phone). In short, I do not think a JetPack can be an Internet bridge device for a standard wifi router, should wifi routing abilities for internal network traffic be needed. I am happy to be corrected if I am wrong, though, as I’d like to know. Setting up the USB modem is one of only two ways I could figure out how to run an internal wifi network with Internet access. The other is to insert a SIM into a router with a cellular modem built into it. These are expensive devices, starting at $600 and going up from there (Cisco’s is in the $x,xxx’s).

There are 3 sensors that have a wire harness on the outside of the trans. One is engine speed, turbine speed and tailshaft speed. The connection from them to the wire harness usually just need to be seperated sprayed with your favorite lubricant and reconnected. This cures the issue 95% of the time. If you start moving and the speedo stays at 0 it is most likely the tailshaft sensor, It is at the driveshaft end of the trans and plugs into the wire harness there. IF the speedo works and you get the code it is one of the other 2. Those 3 sensors compare the engine speed, turbine (convertor) speed and output. They also contribute to the shift point determination. If you can get the bus to where you can get under it or find a young mechanic you can explain to them what you need done. One time I found a parking lot with a drop off at the edge of it. Backed the bus up and laid in the side of the hill and got to what I needed.

    Good Luck

My humble $02 is for you to wait for the perfect slide bus to come to the market. I think for you guys, you’ll miss slides since it sounds like you’re more of a camper than a mover.

However nice the buses are – you might not see it for the lack of slides. I looked at a featherlite with 1 salon slide. I Think that type of bus might be what you’re looking for as it was way less than the usual 2 slide bus. You won’t miss it much in the bedroom (I think) but the salon really opens up with a slide. It’s not 4 slides but heck those busses are pushin the gvwr limit.

I think this because you said if you could afford slides we wouldn’t be talking. I’m suggesting maybe the right bus at the right price will come along and you’ll have what you really want. It’ll take time though…. They’re not Honda civics…. There aren’t that many of them.
