Hi Joe, It can be a bit “clunky” and I’m not happy at that either. They have done a good job of listening to user comments over the years and it gets a better with each update. I hope it works for you, nothing better than a GPS you can count on…

    Ron,

Like politicians i am sceptical of anyone who does nothing but talks about everything. Ive seen him on several Youtube videos and i believe he is a moron.

I used Co-Pilot for a couple of years on an iPad and really liked it.

Jon’s had so many coaches and traveled so many miles that he is a human GPS and doesn’t require a electronic device.

He’s been there and done that.

The weld bead first of all looked like it had been done by a beginner with no continuity. My dad would have described it as looking “like a chicken had left a deposit” (or something similar). Not at all a smooth continuous bead. There was penetration alternating from one side to the other but not much with both the bracket and the frame together. I removed all of the original weld before rewelding it. The reason that I put the bar stock spacer between the cross member and the frame was because I didn’t want to chance a metallurgical problem due to the weld compromising the frame composition as Jon states. After the repair that I did, the bracket isn’t supporting the weight of the body anymore. I would have never thought that a Winnebago product would have been designed and constructed in this manner. I would have expected to find the body cross members to have had direct contact with the chassis frame rather than sitting on a relatively small support an inch and a half above it. I’m sure there must be a reason, but it’s not apparent to me.

I might also add that I have no idea what the left rear corner of the “box” weighed, but it took a considerable amount of hydraulic jacking power to lift it enough to get the spacer in position under it.

The bottom line is that the structural integrity of the coach is dependant on the method and quality of the attachment of the “box” to the chassis as illustrated by the wreck photo that started this discussion.

I’m just glad that I don’t have that kind of a potential problem to think about or possibly deal with.

Taking 15 south to 70 east will take you alot longer because of terrain.

SLC get on 80 east to Cheyenne pickup 25 south to DEN. You run above I70. Wide open interstate all the way.

Bad things usually happen when a gun is involved and I hope all of us prefer to move the bus to a safe spot, even if it means to push against other vehicles and move them out of the way.

However it is understandable if left with no choice a gun may have to be a part of staying safe.

The air temps will go up and down, but the devices Chad has, as well as other items in the engine area have enough mass so they will not make rapid temperature changes, up or down.

Just installed a new rebuilt 50DN alternator today, the 24 voltage regulator was replaced 2 weeks ago.

Here is where I am at. On the new 50DN voltage on the 24 V stud is around 28 with the engine running at high idle. The 12 volt stud is about 14V. Here is where i need help. The batteries are not charging per the inverter readouts in the coach. The voltage reads 25.2 on both with the engine on high idle. . When the unit is hooked to shore power or the Gen is running voltage shows high 27 or 28.

Does any one have an idea what might be going on? BTW the dash light still remains on since it is not charging. Is there another electronic relay that is not functioning.

    Thanks

    Cal

Yes I can…sometimes when a coach is programmed the program for the IPAD is loaded directly onto the IPAD and some of them are in the processor..

So … the perplexing problem of the day is:

To Spray, or Not to Spray?

I’m less concerned a about how the tires “shine” than I am about protecting the tires. I’m a new tires every seven years guy, who parks outside (most of the year in Wisconsin), facing north, with partial shade during the day on both sides of the coach.

From what was said above, am I to infer that Michelin wants NOTHING sprayed on the tires? Do I extend that and conclude there is NOTHING that Michelin thinks that should be put on the tires. Have ai reached a logical conclusion? Apparently Michelin doesn’t sell something for us to put on our Michelin tires.

Most HD truck shops have airbag parts manuals that cross reference part numbers between various manufacturers and suppliers. Those books also have diagrams showing mounting plate geometry as well as fittings.

It has been my experience that a HD truck parts seller has better prices on just about everything compared to the vehicle manufacturer. (Kenworth, Volvo… Prevost ?) For the very same part, from the same manufacturer with the same part number.

    YMMV.

Well, you are in luck. I have a 95 CC and all my batteries are out. Both grounds for bank a and b go to the top left and top right of the battery case, then right up here above the inverter on the right.
