When I was looking for my first coach, I flew to Nashville on two occasions, rented a car and each time visited multiple dealers who had used Prevosts for sale…there are many dealers in the region. John and Hillary at BusForSale.com couldn’t have been more hospitible and knowledgeable about the bus industry. I wouldn’t hesitate for a moment to buy a coach from him if it was the right coach.

From my limited experience, entertainer coaches are made to be comfortable as the passengers travel from venue to venue. However, it’s the Marathon, Liberty, Millenium, Featherlite and a few others that are built with more systems for more comfortable and even luxurious living. Jon has gone into more detail on this subject on many occasions on this forum.

And as my brother-in-law always points out, the entertainer coaches have 6-12 passengers on board constantly pushing the buttons, flushing the toilets, etc. while our leisure coaches get a lot less wear and tear with limited occupants.

While I was tempted on numerous occasions with some appealing entertainer coaches, I opted for the more luxurious living Prevost. It’s been 3 years now and I still have a grin on my face. You have to make the decision that’s right for you.

It may be an electrical issue at the switch Chuck. My switch always lights up even if the compressor is out of action. I had issues with the low and high pressure switches just a few months ago that Jeff helped me with and the compressor button light was always lit.

Thanks all. I’m with you guys on making the list and the shop has been very supportive with my questions. I will keep the forum up to date on what happens and what I have done. I’m also on the page of constructive criticism not just to pound people down. I learned that one along time ago..I think..

I took apart the dash today and pulled out the connector for the VGA when it arrives Monday..(Love Amazon) I’m now told it will probably have to be sync up so everything reads correct.. I will wait and see.

Don’t want to continue with all issues yet thanks in advance to everyone..do love my coach and Frisco Colorado bound this week. If anyone is in the area and loves BBQ I’m competing there and will fill your bellies.

Ah, now I see…if the lock cyl is left unlocked that door won’t lock with the rest. Probably a good thing as it’s a lot easier to get to the latch then the lock. Geo.

The above is a true statement for certain vintages of coaches, but does not apply to all. When purchasing get part numbers from Prevost based on coach VIN.

Since he described the coach as a Liberty he will not be able to charge the batteries through the inverters if it has any. Early Liberty coaches did not even have inverters. But if he does run the generator the coach may have a Liberty installed chassis battery charger, but that is only going to work if the equalizer is functioning, something equally true if he tries jumping it. Even if the equalizer is working a bad battery on the 12 volt side may not allow DDEC to function, if it is DDEC equipped which necessitates a different set of questions and answers

Before risking anything it is best to walk slowly through this starting with the basics.

Right now we don’t know anything more than it is a Liberty that won’t start.

Thanks to Jon, Tom, Jeff and his entire staff for the excellent seminar and weekend. Very informative for me as a new owner and they didn’t hesitate to answer all questions.
