hands down Catherine’s Landing! We stay there every year for a few nights. Brand new and right along the river/lake.

I had the seal changed today at a local company that is part of the Volvo/Prevost service network. They did a nice job. Brake pads and bearings were fine. Not something I could have done in our driveway.

Tom, Welcome. Forgot to welcome you in my first post.
One thing to keep in mind is money. If you spend the time looking all over the internet learning the asking prices of comparably aged coaches you are going to begin to understand roughly how the market values coaches. Even if we were to buy a new coach we would realize we cannot have everything so there are areas that are going to be a compromise.
In your shoes I would consider 3 AC units marginal, and thus a compromise. But if the coach is very competitively priced or is exactly what you want in every other way then I would have to determine is getting a coach with the 4th AC worth the $50,000 or $100,000 more I might have to pay for one with everything I want plus that 4th unit. Or if the price of the coach is consistent with the pricing of other coaches but has that nice wood interior that you really like are you ready to live with the couple of days per year when 3 units might not keep you as comfortable as you like?
So far the concensus is you would be happier with 4 units instead of 3, but none of us knows what is comfortable for you, when and where you use your coach, or if the price on the coach makes the lack of the 4th AC unit significantly less important.

so based on the feedback on Delam, I will only consider the purchase of an XLII coach that has been through the latest Prevost Rivet Repair. That simplifies that issue for me and I think it is reasonable based on this forum.

The problem is on the wheels for the 365 tires the valve stem has a dedicated hole through which it protrudes. It doesn’t extend out very far, and worse, the hole is quite small and it doesn’t look like the pressure caps will even fit.

Jon,
I think we’ve had this discussion before on CAT’s ELC. I would just caution against any 2-ethyl hexanoic acid based ELC, such as CATs, due to studies that showed it’s corrossive affects on some metals. Although approved by Detroit and used by what is likely the largest construction equipment manufacturer on the globe, my concern would be what it could do to the non-Detroit equipment, such as heat exchangers in the Webasto, hot water heater, and dash heat. At some point someone will figure out a formulation that is safe for all products, until then we just need to be careful. I will stick to Detroit’s formula, assuming it was what Prevost used in newer series 60 powered coaches.
Until someone really looks at the variety of coolant formulations available and their incompatibilities with some systems most would never suspect what’s available and what shouldn’t be used.

Dan. I am impressed. You not only saw a bear, you took a picture, and then you weighed him. Good job.
Say Hi to Jo.

I haven’t noticed a water temp guage in my engine compartment. Where is it located, or do the H3’s not have it?
At cruise, my Prevost computer shows 208, while the guage on the dash shows around 20 degrees cooler?

Ya had to be there!!!

This Norgren valve controls the air for the tag axle when running slides in or out and when you flip the lever on the dash
to raise tag while turning.
Marathon tech Leon says valve has never been a problem in engine compartment, but is aware of replacements.
Nothing special to do for change but dump Prevost Aux air.

Jack, I wasn’t going to say anything until I had a good base of data, but I have one on order and I have recorded every gallon of fuel I ever put in my bus since I got it, so after about 5000 miles I will report the results.
Ken shared with me a thread on the diesel forum and I read all thirteen pages. There were some comments about the instalation and changes to resistor sizes, but the bottom line is everyonhe that posted had better performance with less stumbling and the reported increase in mileage was none to about 1 MPG. Most were at least 1/2 MPG. Doesn’t sound like much but it will buy a Happy Meal with the savings at every refueling.
