I hate that you’re throwing in the towel. I’m on my 6th bus, ya I know it’s a sickness, but I’ve only experienced what you are describing in 3 or 4 coaches over the years and they were with private sellers and dealers as well.
I have to ask and please don’t take this the wrong way, but are you upside down on your Eagle causing the numbers to just not work for you? The best solution of course would be to sell the Eagle and then hunt for a Prevost without a trade.
Either way, hate that you’re giving up and wish you the best.

Be sure to talk to Tradewinds, they do excellent work and if you’ve read the other post we just did, they are expanding with their sales and service facility.

If you are ever in that area of FL, stop in and visit with the folks at Tradewinds. Tom and I have been visiting with them at least once a year and with every visit we come away more impressed with their skills and capabilities and now they are adding a new facet to their business. Great folks and very capable.

On the multiplex coaches, it is necessary to cut a wire and ground it to get rid of the signal. They did that for me when I picked up my 2011 from Liberty in Stuart, FL. Works great!

I suspect most of the groaning was a combination of worn shocks allowing too much porpoising on uneven roads and worn upper A arms. Much better after I had those replaced. On occasion, I can still hear a groan or two. Probably my wife.

We have avoided travel during the time period you list because that is when everything is full, including rest areas when you want to stop for lunch. This is especially true in the northeast, but is country wide because the kids are out of school and that is when the family vacations.
Having said that your success rate is going to depend on how early you call for reservations. It might be OK to make reservations the day of arrival for some RV parks or campgrounds. But others you may have to book you site weeks or more in advance. From September through May we generally never have an issue calling for a reservation mid day for that evening. I would suggest doing some loose trip planning and calling RV parks along the route to get a sense of when you need to make a reservation during your travel period.
Because of our size we cannot get in every site in every park.

Jon, I always notice that the temps on my Pressure Pro show different readings on my drive axle after I have been driving for a while. Before running anywhere, they are exactly the same, but as I run, they do not stay the same. Usually, it’s the inner, but other times, if the sun is beating down on that side of the coach, the outer will have a higher reading. I imagine that the tire revs per mile must also change too. I see that most of the big fleets are running the jumpers between the duals, probably to keep the pressures equal, but also to make it easier to check & fill for large operations. Was anything on this discussed? It seems to me that it would make sense to do this if there is so much concern over the revolutions per mile effecting the tire.

I would imagine that 10-12 thousand miles a year puts you in the top 25% on this forum. A few drive way more but most that mention their milage drive less. I would buy the bus for that many miles, IF you can live without slides.
