Good for You HJ ! Best of luck with Your new to You Coach. Share some pictures and details of Her after You take possession.
Safe travels,

Mine has the 2 fan speed knobs one for driver and one for coach. And 2 tempature Rheostat knobs for the same. No need to re-direct any air when it is working properly. Usually have to turn drivers fan down to keep from freezing. My OTR blower sounds like a jet engine. I think it is louder than the generator. Like someone else said, I raise my blinds in coach a few inches to keep the blinds from puffing out.
Note : Turn off OTR A/C when You drive into a gravel / Dusty parking lot, Unless You want to create a dust storm.
Safe travels…….

All of the charging devices had regulators so they can all charge at once. When the voltage the regulator is set to is reached the dvice will stop charging.
It is likely the alternator will drop off line before the inverters and the inverters will go to float at some point, and then the alternator will coninue charging because its voltage for charging is going to be higher than float on the inverters.
If an auxiliary charger is used there will still be no harm, but unless you know its charging current you don’t know if it or the alternator or the inverters will still be charging.

yes, but remember if you have 24v inverters the newer remotes are not compatible.

My bus is a 1999 chassis and has the two rheostats for fan speed like Dick, temp control knobs with no temperature numbers. No digital. Have to carve it in stone.

And don’t forget the red carpet shuttle service from the office to your coach after paying your invoice.

Per offered a good tip, however the floating ball is in the black receiver tank. That is a quick check on the freon level, not precise, but close enough.
The issue could be a faulty pressure switch but I would also want to see the system pressures when the light is on to make sure it is not associated with something else such as an expansion valve issue.

returnline runs inside frame rail passanger side to top of tank located behind condensor. Look upper left of that compartment and you will see access pannel. you can get thru there where that line returns to top of tank. All serviceable from below bus. If it’s not a fitting that you can get to at engine. On your 98 holding clamps are prob frozen. I have done it..I would imagine shop time would be 4 plus hrs minimum. I would replace both if your going to open it up. Jeff can chime in here. I prob misread location. If it is short line from head to check valve go for it. If is the tank side then the above is correct. Bob

Jack don’t speak too soon, just wait !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It’s spring planting for Jon’s garden and I heard him talking about a new tiller.
Darian, its probably going to be $500 for Jon and $500 for Tom and nothing for Jeff 🙁

Jon that was a really great post … worth its wait in gold.
Many of us are not aware of the workarounds you outlined and in a tense situation might not have thought about those workarounds.
Another reason why its so important for members of this Forum to post their problem and their location before letting their significant other set their hair on fire. A simple, safe workaround could put them quickly back on the road and/or competent help might be just a few miles away.
This website gets me so excited I can’t wait for my dues invoice to arrive so I can pay it right away.

Thanks for your insight. Thought I had the Amana till I looked closer. Will trust my Jenn aire to keep on keeping on. Don’t have an overheat problem, just thought I’d be prepared in case of an issue. I looked at the schmatic on the rear door and don’t see the relays you spoke of. My general observation is free fan till about 195-200 degrees and a locked fan till temp drops. I will check the connections on the DDEC. Engine is running great. Hope you are well. We need to get together again and talk Airplanes and Buses.

Absolutely Dick, I live in southwest corner of North Carolina not far from Murphy. Our weather is mild because of the mountain effect with little snow and not many super cold days. But what we lack in snow and cold we make up for in rain, lots of rain!

Further testing shows that the automatic level and dump CC main board does not send signal to the solenoids. Should see 24v on 3 pins on the P2 connector on the board when Dump is activated and suggested above.
Got a hold of Joe Portelli at HWH and I am sending the board in to see if it can be repaired. Hope they can do it. They only built 7 coaches with that system 27 years ago….it will be something to make this work….
If the board gets fixed then I will revisit the diodes and wiring to make sure there is no backfeeding from Level Low into the Auto CC system…..will post the results of the journey…
On the tag dump, agreed with the suggestion. Certainly a viable work around, but…..talked to Prevost this afternoon and based on the Reverse Tag Logic documentation and my VIN, the retrofit kit for this vintage coach costs a wopping $22…..boils down to just switching air lines on the exixting Norgrens, no additional valves needed, just some fittings. Good time to change those Norgrens since I get the overnight rear lean anyway and they are likely original.
Many thanks to all that provided assistance.
