Somebody explain to me why anyone with a Liberty would have any interest in peeking through the fence just to see a line up of Marathon coaches? Not going to happen.

If you want to see how a Prevost is put together you likely have to make the trek up to Canada and witness the process in person. I can say for certain seeing how our coaches are built will be time well spent and will provide a great appreciation for how much actually goes into creating a coach. Even if it will end up being a Marathon.

Under the top hinge on mine there is a very small black rocker switch that is hard to see that turns on the lights. Just a thought in case you missed it.

The only lube I have ever used on door or drawer latches was the occasional lube on the pins that lock the bay doors. Specifically what latches do you think will need a lube? Can you post a photo?

Regardless of whether we are towing or not we always have to be aware of how our clearances are, not above or side to side, but below us.

Any time we have a sharp transition from the road surface such as highly crowned railroad tracks or steep approach driveways or curb cuts we have to consider if the belly of the bus will drag or if the nose or rear of the bus will drag. Over the years we have encountered many situations that were going to result in something dragging. There is one road we cross on the way to or from our daughter’s house that is crowned such that if I don’t raise the coach prior to crossing it I will drag the belly of the bus. We have encountered railroad tracks that were also crowned so much we had to raise the coach.

We have come out of mall parking lots and had a short, steep transition from the parking lot level to the road we were entering. If we did not raise the rear of the coach we would hear the grinding sound of the engine cradle or hitch dragging. The clues to these conditions are the gouge marks in the pavement and they tell me to stop until I have raised the rear of the coach, front of the coach, both ends of the coach, or made the transition at an angle to minimize the effect of the height change.

I cannot imagine a situation where a Honda Fit would drag without the bus dragging a whole lot more. With our low belly or long rear overhang we have a much greater risk on the bus.

What do these tour buses use in cold weather , does it hurt the system to put brake line alcohol if its frozen up because of moisture in system and cold just wondering????? Big trucks use it but have no norgrens !!!! What do you think??

I use 125 PSI which is the same as my compressor on the Detroit is set.I also have a refigerated dryer to make sure that I am not adding moisture to the system,I never find any water in any of the air tanks.

The Watchdog is a proprietary device that plays a part in the generator auto start cycle, but also monitors the generator and will shut it down if it has a problem with oil pressure or coolant temperature, etc.

Liberty is excellent at telephone assistance. Call them and they should be able to walk you through the diagnostics. In fact as part of your list of important phone numbers you should keep a list of phone numbers for the Liberty folks. They will help in any way they can.

Your tips are always valid and helpful. Keep them coming because a lot of folks, even if they actually do not spin the wrench themselves are very much involved in managing the maintenance and repairs on their coach.

We have quite a few that are very knowledgible about their coach but prefer to rely on others to do the work and tips such as this provide them with information needed to verify work has been done properly.
