Looks like those are only available as 12 volt?

Be careful pulling the existing lights out. They are usually held in place using two devices from mousetraps that utilize a spring from a bear trap.

Comes all as one piece. Super easy to install, spring loaded clips actually more durable than the factory lights. Just order yourself an assortment of 14-16 and 10-12 gauge butt caps so you only have to pinch once per wire instead of twice.

The fan locking bolts are typically in the end of the shaft on the pulley.

If you have to lock it the best is the relay because the tabs are flimsy and work in a pinch but not for a long time.

Nothing can be done if the bearings seize so spinning the fan should always be part of the pre-trip inspection to listen for noises. A growling sound is usually an early indicator of possible failure.

    No expert here either.

My 95 chassis XL is straight front axle.

Bought a trailer from a Liberty XL owner in FL – his coach was a Series 60 and he said it was a 93 chassis. Seemed to know his stuff. Earliest factory installed Series 60 I’ve seen/heard of.

I do not know why, but blue has never taken hold either as an accent or base color, but it sure looks good. Maybe it is going to get more widespread use when people can see how great it looks.

On my November 2005 manufacture date Series 60, the Prevost parts manual states its pound rating is “14+”

I apparently have a leak SOMEWHERE that I have been unable to detect. I have done a used oil analysis and it is not in the engine, but I cannot locate a coolant leak.

I ordered and installed a replacement from Prevost and it is labeled 14 Pounds. I have inserted a piece of paper in the overflow tube that goes straight to the ground to see if coolant is leaking there.

In 8,000 miles in our first big trip, I never got a low coolant warning, yet once home added a gallon. And, now, we have travelled about 2,500 miles with no low coolant warning, yet the level is again below the coolant reservoir site glass.

Have searched high and low without success trying to find a leak. Any suggestions?

Going to refill reservoir today and will drive about 150 miles in the Colorado mountains Thursday so hope will then be able to see if the note card in the over flow tube is stained or pushed out. Thank you, Jeff

This is just a general observation about city water and its use on our coaches.

Some coaches are easily capable of using city water rather than having to rely on the water pump(s). Those coaches are set up by the converter to by-pass the tank and pumps and supply water at city pressure to the coach. A lot of coaches are equipped with devices to limit incoming water pressure so that municipal water pressure doe not create problems.

But with municipal water it has to be understood we have little or no control over the rate of water flow or pressures. Those are influenced by so many factors if the use of city water is preferred we have to be willing to deal with what might be low or high pressures and low water flow rates.

Some coaches will not work well on municipal water and must use water from the tank and the coach water pump(s). Those coaches with a Headhunter toilet are best used with the water pump. Each coach owner has to learn his coach and determine the best way to get needed performance from the coach water system. The converters do a very good job of providing a water system that works well off the holding tank for fresh water using the onboard pumps, but if an owner chooses to use municipal water that may prove OK in a lot of instances.

Bill Darby returned my call and told me the alternator excitation comes from either the gen fuel pump circuit or the gen diesel fuel shutoff solenoid circuit. I went digging and found that the gen alternator excitation wire had been cut, probably intentionally by a previous owner. WHY? The gen alternator regulator charges at 14.9 volts, enough to boil the acid/water out of the wet cell battery in no time. I fixed the wire but have left it unplugged from the alternator. I can easily plug it back in if for some reason I ever need to charge the gen battery with the gen alternator. There is 3 other ways to charge the gen battery: 1) inverter/chargers; 2) 12v DD engine driven house battery alternator; 3) portable battery charger.

In the 6+ yrs that I’ve owned this bus, the gen alternator has never charged its battery for the above stated reason. My DuraLast marine wet cell group 27 gen battery was new in Dec of 2013. I’ve tested it twice lately and its condition and state of charge are good. It has never needed any water added.

I know how to take care of batteries. My 4 NAPA commercial chassis batteries are 7 yrs old and are still good. My 3 Lifeline 8D house batteries are only 3 yrs old. I expect to get at least 8 yrs out of them.

Thanks Buddy, I believe the wire I found cut was the 10 Gray wire in the diagram downstream from where it Ts off of the hobbs and fuel pump circuit.
