I just got a new quote from them that will cut my bill in half, but I am not familiar with them and particularly the Prevost thing. How about you?

If you’re not increasing the output/charging capacity of your inverters, upgrading wiring should not be an issue. I switched Heart’s out of mine for pure sine-wave and, more importantly to me, the very issue you’re having…my coach is stored on a 20 amp circuit with the fridge on and requires charge rate to be low. I don’t believe that an upgraded remote panel allowing charge setting changes from the front of the panel was available for my Heart’s at the time I replaced them, maybe it is now. I currently have twin Outback 3524’s controlled by one remote panel. Another nice thing about the Outbacks is they are serviceable in the field.

And your old Heart’s are probably worth something. Post them here or on ebay.

Our experience with Al and Mary Ellen was outstanding! Way beyond any of our expectations. Logs, receipts, manuals, training, tips, tricks, you name it and Al provided it all! This is our first Prevost so yes, we were/are extremely nervous but Al calmed any nerves we had. Both Bill and I cannot thank him enough for a wonderful coach but more importantly service/training and service after the sale!

I would not hesitate buying from Al and Mary Ellen again…in a heart beat.

A Big Thank You to Al and Mary Ellen!

Ha, 10-4 on that. Sid called today to check in from NM. Everytime I go to the barn the bus looks at me like a horse trying to get out of the corral, when we going, when we going.

As soon as there’s a hint of good weather were off to MT, heck the weather is near perfect here. Next year you know now you have to stay another month.

    Later

I don’t think it really matters which hot water system you get. All of the above mentioned heat domestic hot water, pre-heat the engine, and provide hot water for heat exchangers to heat the coach. They just do it in a slightly different fashion from one another.

I don’t mind the two water heaters. Some may not want that. In any event, the Aquahot still relies on a Webasto or some other brand of burner / boiler or an electric element to get it’s heat when not using the engine as it’s source.

I don’t think it really matters if you find a coach you like, just make sure it all works!

when we make the purchase, I am going to be pending a lot of time on here making sure I am looking at the right things. Then when I get to the point of the coach passing my uneducated smell test. I am going have to find someone with experience to look at the coach for me.

Based on the feedback I got when I was looking at that local coach last year, the feedback on here will almost be gospel for me, I get the feeling even though as some said during that experience last year that the feedback can be over stated, I will take it more seriously earlier.

Then have any coach I decide on, get some sort of pre purchase inspection (hands on) supported by feedback on here.

I guess trying to understand electrical and plumbing systems will be a coach specific understanding to develope for the coach/converter that we end up going with.

I have had sellers/dealers tell me that sites like these can make sales more difficult, bottom line I will have to see all systems work before I move forward. But even then I will not have enough understanding so that is where the second set of educated eyes will have to come into play after I get to “The One”

Good catch Al… Seeing this big bad Liberty in a Walmart parking lot is a sight to behold, especially with the awnings out, slides out, LED’s under the bus and the sound of the Lennon Sisters blaring from the Bose.

In my home town, which I-75 goes right through, there is only one road call service company left. All the others have had employees killed or severely injured and will no longer service Interstate calls.

Here is where to find the Level Low webinar.

As to the stands, I had two production runs of stands made and they are simple but get the job done. They were 4 X 4 steel tube, 3/16 thick. They could just as easily be made of schedule 40 or 80 pipe. The length is from the bottom of the body support points to the floor, minus about 1/4″ when the bus is fully raised on the air bags.

    These are at the rear

    These are at the front.

But don’t be afraid to use heavy wood blocks or a hydraulic jack that you can put under the support points with the jack all the way down and the center adjustable screw turned up as necessary. Never trust a hydraulic jack that you need to pump up.

Just went and bought more DOT compression fittings to replace push locks as I go. They are expensive!

actually you can only self-pump diesel that is why your CDL worked. You can pump diesel at the trucker islands. Most stations will not let you pump on the passenger car islands.
