Interesting thread. Heres a non Liberty take. I have owned 10 Prevost’s over the years. Some had OTR and some not. I live in Florida and spend my summers in the west. I prefer not to have OTR. I have no problem cooling my coach adequately without OTR. I much prefer having the additional bay space that an OTR would take up. Further it is just one more system to have problems with.
Also reading about all of the problems people have had with inflatable slide seals I really like Featherlite’s decision not to use inflatible seals. One less major problem to deal with.
Also, the way we use our coach having separate gray and black tanks is really important to me. I would not like having a combined tank.

We have left a message at Everglade Isle and when they call back we will be in. Put us on the crab list as well.
Ok, now we’re reserved and looking forward to it.

I get a little stubborn when morons take my money. If nothing else I would irritate the shops that “stole” the money to the point where I would make it clear some compensation was expected.
I agree with Dick that recovery of the money may be difficult but anything returned would be better than nothing.

Dave & Jill…you mention “Remove all countertops and window sills and replace with light weight granite.”
What is light weight granite? My local dealer didn’t know what that was unless it was just a thinner piece of granite.
I too would like to replace my Corian countertops with granite. I’m wondering if I could/should use a local granite countertop specialist at home up north while my coach is readily available and be very convenient. The alternative is use a Prevost specialist which would mean juggling my schedule and sleeping arrangements during my southern winter trip…I know my wife and cat wouldn’t like that.

Somewhat related to this thread……….
I think most of us have some type of autostart feature, and possibly a power interruption start feature. I mention this because a lot of folks that own coaches have pets. Before leaving pets alone inside the coach with the power interrupt feature engaged try to determine what level of protection for the pets that provides.
Specifically, if your pets need air conditioning make certain if power is disconnected for whatever reason, that if the starting of the generator is automatic that in fact the air conditioning will be restored. Some A/C units will shut down if there is the slightest interruption of service and even if power is restored they will not automatically restart. Some require the generator to be turned on manually at the Crestron or the SMX panel.
Think of your pets and check your coach. You do not want to learn how things operate the hard way.

Anyone for Ashkosh this year? We will be at the Asvegas rv park accros on I- 41 from EAA campground where we don’t have to be towed out from the field if things get rainy. You never know about the WI weather.
If interested contact the campground. 50 amp water and dump station. Or email me for any additional information.

If you would like we could start abusing you Vantare folks, as well as any conversions we might have missed.
We kind of stopped picking on the CC guys because we started feeling bad for them. But the comment about double waders may be an indication it is time to start up again.
Thank goodness no body picks on Liberty coaches.

Tony,
Are you talking about house heat or dash?

Since day one of using a GPS, I’ve let common sense, a compass, and my recollection of looking at a map (hard copy or on-line) override the GPS quite often and I’ve saved ourselves from bad route often.
That said, I do find taking the GPS out onto Lake Winnebago when its well frozen over during the sturgeon spearing and observe it trying to get up back to “dry land”. In the Suburban of course … not the Prevost.
During my college days when I was in the airplane business during breaks, holidays, and over the summer, the guy I worked for had individual state highway maps in his airplanes and sectional charts in his pickup truck which I used quite often (including two round trips from Wisconsin to Florida). The jux position of the maps/charts made for some interesting navigating experience. I have to admit that when using his Super Cub on floats I actually found the highway maps awfully handy since the Cub’s primative radios never seemed to work when I flew the airplane.

Miller’s sounds like the way to go. I’ve done all my insurance with USAA for 35 years, but I understand I would have to use Progressive for an RV. When researching, did anyone get quotes from Progressive?

Good to hear from you Dean, That coach was changed over to RF signal with a converter box. I really don’t want to change the system in this coach as it is newer than the 03 was and all works fine. The problem is not the equipment , it is mostly me in that we don’t use it on a regular basis.
