    OK

How about a 200 amp battery isolator between the gen battery and the Lithium house batteries, getting its input from the 12v alternator?? The battery isolator 2 outputs would feed 1) the gen battery, 2) the Lithium House batteries?? This protects the 12v alternator and charges both banks when the Detroit is running.

When on genny or on shore power and the Magnum inverter/chargers are on, the house Lithiums will get charged from the Magnum inverter/chargers. The gen battery with get charged through the existing small 1 input/1 output battery isolator that Liberty has between the the house and gen batteries.
    What do you think ???

Agree locks can be a challenge.

Thanks to all for posting about that red valve in the engine compartment. I had no idea I had one but there were multiple posts on multiple conversion so I had to go take a look. I found it above my head against the wall above the doors. There appears to be a pressure regulator as well as a schrader valve. What should the pressure to the mini air bags be and can I check it there with a tire pressure gauge? I will be cleaning this area up and looking for leaks. The check valve must be working as the air bags stay inflated even when the aux. tank is at zero. When put all new belts on I had to crack open one of the connections in the air line to get the air out. Now, just the turn of a knob! Thanks.

Bernie…my man…I should have you on speed dial buddy! Thanks for that very detailed post. Tom, I have been trying to figure out how to open the front bumper on this thing since we bought it. I just figured I’d wait till we got to Marathon to have then show me. I really want to try your suggestion and fill the fan bellows from the aux tank but its been raining here none stop all week and with the aux pump cycling every two and a half hours there’s bound to be a lot of water in there. To Johns point when I took that class at ETLC it was made crystal clear that draining those tanks is one of the most important things you can do as part of routine maintenance but I still haven’t been able to locate all the valves to bleed the tanks.

The reason I’m so concerned about airing up the fan tensioner is because when I was checking the oil the other day, I realized that I’m currently only running with two belts and it clearly looks like there should be three. Okay you can all stop laughing now. Not only that but at the fan end both belts are on the pulleys closest to the rear of the coach and at the crank end they’re on the two pulls closest to the engine. Okay you can all get up off the floor, it’s not that funny, (okay it’s a little funny). I started the engine from the rear control panel last time to see (and hear) how the engine cranked over after I replaced the chassis batteries and installed that trickle charger (another story…another day) and when it started those belts were wobbling like crazy until the tensioner aired up. I spoke to the previous owner to see if maybe there was a reason it was set up this way and he said “well that’s the way it was in the pictures in the ad” So basically it’s your problem now, no real explanation just “the coach was sold as is” kinda vibe. Don’t know how I could have missed something glaringly obvious for this long but here we are. I have spare belts with me but I spoke to Prevost about the situation and they said keep an eye on the belts for increasing wear for now but all three should be replaced together and the belts were probably in their proper pulleys at some point but the fan gear box may be misaligned which due to the slack belts at start up the belts skipped over to the other pulleys. Okay I can hear the laughter from here, now you’re just being cruel. We’re leaving the Oregon coast today and the next stop is Marathon so for now I’m just filing this under “if it aint broke, don’t fix it’ and I think I just heard Jon fall off his chair.

So now you see why I’d really like to have those belts tight before I kick over the engine. Tom, if you can help me figure out how to get that front bumper open to see if that’s where the aux tank drain is I’d be much obliged.

You could use a macerator toilet but DONT use flexible hosing (tube) as toilet drain pipe. It holds to contents, but not the smell. We have friends with a rear bath in their Winnebago Grand Tour found out the hard way, “spa” hose that Winnebago used didnt hold the “stink”after sitting for a month. The hose doesnt clear completely because of its ribbed construction, so P. U.
