Jon,I totally agree and I have looked a a few coaches newer than my 2008 and the closet space is limited because of the exhaust stacks going through the roof has reduced the rear closet.I think that the sweet zone for me is the coach that I currently own as it has 6 – 8D batteries,2 – 3500 watt Outback inverters,the latest Prevost pinless slides,tankless water heater in addition to the 20 gallon water heater,California King bed,OTR with Cruise Airs and as stated earlier a full closet in the rear.I am not sure that it gets much better than the 05-08 coaches before the DPF motors as it is real easy to re-program the ECM on these coaches.

My wife and I bought a 98 Liberty conversion last fall. This is our first coach after years of waiting. 20+ years ago, I was a supplier to Mitchel Coach (Vogue Motorhomes). The also converted Prevosts and that’s where I fell in love.
We found a coach that had less than 100k on it and have enjoyed it.
I’m converting it to LED marker lights along with upgrading the TV’s.
Stay with the Series 60, they are good for a million miles. The 8v92 will eat you up with costs.
Look at the major builders, Liberty, Marathon, etc.
Liberty has treated us like family from the time we called them to check the history on our coach.
This forum and POG are great places to find answers.

Well, California Coach Co. has a very nice looking 2000 riveted Country Coach Pervost that look very good–just not sure when we can get out there to check it out. Saw the CCC owners were on the forum–think it’s great they are willing to come on a forum like this–says a lot for them! Wouldn’t mind a Country Coach Prevost–love the heated floors!

Ok, back at bus today. What I am calling a solenoid valve is the flush valve, solenoid valve/flush valve, just semantics, any valve with an electric solenoid is a solenoid valve to me until you have to be specific.
I closed the ball valve, shut the pressure pump off, the toilet has lost no water in 6 hours.
The result seems to be that the toilet was leaking backwards thru the flush vlave, thru the check valve into the fresh water tank. Very poor design. I will replace the inline check valve. I have santized the water system, drained and flushed.
All is ok now. -

Note to self: buy a bus from an owner who maintained it as though they were spending somebody else’s money. I’m sure the extra few k it will cost will repay itself many times over.

The KOA in Dewittville looks over the Lake Chautauqua. But Camp Chautauqua between Stow and Chautauqua on the otherside of the lake is right on the lake.
Look up the Chautauqua schedule. They usually have a lot of worthwhile shows and things going on all summer.
There is also a KOA in Barcelona (north of Westfield) but it is not on Lake Erie but across route 5 from the lake. Great smoked white fish available just to the west at the little road to the right past the marina / boat ramp.
We will be up in mid to late August and we stop and get smoked fish and we visit the winerys in the Westfield area. Our favorite is Johnson Estate on Rte 20.

I have always left my Coach running,If it is running you know it will start!! Just one less problem when you are on a tight schedule from Venue to Venue,City to City every night.

If you are not sightseeing along the way, just let Google plan the route using interstates. If the drive is part of the vacation avoid the I-95 corridor and even NJ if possible by going north on 77 and 81 over to 84 and then to 95 via a section of the Mass Turnpike.
Bring money. They have tolls and they really know how to charge for fuel.

I have about three guides we use, and none of them are totally up to date, or completely accurate. Some of the places that say they are big rig friendly, are far from it, except in maybe a couple of sites. The rest are either not usable or really a pain to get in or out of. I have been in a couple of very new parks that must have been designed by morons. One in particular, you need about a 35′ sewer hose. Not a good thing.
We have had very good luck at WalMarts during trips to or from our destinations. I try to park close to a light pole so we can run the bedroom slide out without having to worry about some truck driver hitting it. I avoid truck stops and rest areas like the plague.
And yes, Al, the Super WalMarts are better. Jon should be good to go there.
