Your Featherlite’s sewer connections are Thetford. As far as I know Liberty and Featherlite are the only ones. Geo.

Others may add to this, but a 98 XL is going to have IFS. Early versions of the IFS had issues with the bushings in the A arms so look at the records, or get the owner of record to provide a report from Prevost that the A arms or bushings were replaced. In the absence of such information get Prevost to insect them. They can look terrible but the key is if they are still bonded properly to the inner sleeve, despite the lousy appearance they are OK. If they are loose they need to be replaced.

I am not aware of any other issues with that vintage chassis or the Royale conversion.

I did get a quote from American Fleet two or three years ago. I’m in Florida and that email is in Wisconsin. My best recollection is that it was under $2,000 … but that’s a recollection from a couple of years ago.

There should be a few forum members who have had the work done recently who can tell us what was on their invoices.

Two months ago I ran into a recently retired DD/Allison tech from Inland Power in Butler (WI)/west side of Milwaukee off Silver Spring. I asked him about the overhead valve and injector service and he was quite familiar with it. I asked him about accessing a S-60 in a Prevost and he said the drivetrain slides in and out real easy if that’s the best way to get at it … radiator on the side.

Bill Doherty from Liberty Coach said they take all their Detroit Diesel/Allison work to Inland in Butler. He highly recommends them.
