I upgraded to 365’s even though I did not have a weight issue. I immediately felt ride improvement (went from 110 to 90 psi) although some here feel it was due to new tires as opposed to size and pressure change.
In any event, I had Prevost do the job. On my XL, it involved new studs, wheels and tires. Done in a couple hours. I obtained new one piece wheel covers from Alcoa directly. I had very minor clearance issues with the undercoating in the wheel wells. My GUESS is that you’ll have no clearance issues on the H (Prevost should know) and you may or may not need new studs. I originally had the right and left studs; I’m guessing yours are hub piloted wheels already with all right thread; but I also needed the studs replaced for addl length, I recall.

Ca means Canada? No help.

well come on. Being fully gainfully self employed takes much of our time. However, we have put 35,000 miles on “Zorro” since Sept. 2009 when we brought it home . We aren’t traveling as much as a few years ago. The last coach we placed 66,000 miles in 5 years.

A charge air cooler is to air what the radiator is to coolant.
An 8V92 uses a coolant to blower / turbo air to remove heat from the air and absorb it with engine coolant. The air temperature rises as air is compressed and reducing the air temp going into the engine makes for a denser air supply which translates into more oxygen for combustion which allows more fuel, which creates more HP.
On the Series 60 the turbocharged air is being cooled through the charge air cooler prior to entering the intake manifoild.
The intake on the 8V92 is essentially the “box” between the cylinder banks and beneath the blower and that area is under pressure so it pushes air into the cylinders at the bottom of every piston stroke.

Liam, are you sure you have 2? I had a ’90 Country Coach with 8v92 and it had only one, the 50dn that has been mentioned. It charges both the house and chassis batteries. My current bus has two, but that is because MCI does not make a conversion shell so it has stuff related to passenger service. Mine has a small alternator to allow limp home if the big one gives out.

Thanks again, will attempt to find a number or web site for him. I really need to get some questions answered!

I am shooting from the lip with this response but I am too tired to even look anything up. Vaccuum bagging and freezing 100# of lobstah is hard work, and to add to the burden we just got done with fine wine and several lobster’s for dinner.
So Richard……..this is a guess.
That sounds like the rear start switch might be worth cycling a few times to see if that has an impact. When you go to rear start you lose the dash so the switch is the starting point. I think there is a relay in the rear electrical box that closes when you turn the ignition on with the key. That would be my next guess.
If I am lucky I gave you a starting point to chase the issue.

Hi Al,
Thanks, I feel blessed to have found this site. You don’t know what a relief it is to have people like you to help guide me through this process. I feel like a school kid cramming for a final! And I applaud your tastes…don’t get me wrong…I do love Lobster, Maine or Florida…but I would freeze them in order to keep my Stone Crab claws cold! Oh and by the way…you’re invited to the crab fest! Thanks again.

Hish,
Mine are Hunter Douglas electric and I have repaired a broken string. I now have another broken string, yippee. It’s a time consuming job and there is no real way to explain how. If I could find someone that knows how to do the repair, I would gladly pay to have it done.

That controller is not really the right product for a coach. It’s designed for a battery bank being charged by solar cells and not by the genetrator powered battery charger. At some point you probably just want to change it out. Here’s one that will work, regardless of who’s inverter/charger you have. http://www.magnumenergy.com/products/AGS-S.htm
