Update… Shut down the power and removed the panel unplugging the small 4 pin plug. Plugged back in and turned on the power, still no workie. I them turned the panel to off, leaving the 120 volt still on and unplugged the 4 pin again. Hooked it back up and all is good. Seems I needed to have the 120 volt power to the remote turned on when unplugging. Has worked for 2 days with no issue.

I also tried the reset and that had no effect.

Sorry you missed your opportunity to find the bleeding procedure when the tech was there.

Possibly he removed the knurled cover shown in my last picture and depressed the center pin on the shrader style fill valve. This may have been sufficent to allow fuel to displace traped air in the line, by gravity.

    Monday the 25th update.

There are a few of us down here. Circo’s and Kellers will be arriving early Monday for a 3 day stay in Pelican Lake. Desilva’s, Dators, Chuck and Barb, Jonnie are here. The street party starts at 5. A little change, no BBQ just heavy appetizers. So bring what you can. Just come to the gate and tell them you’re going to the DeSilva lot 4767. If there is a problem just call 201 390 6022 and we’ll beam you in. Come early if you want and park by us as parking will be tuff at Jonnies. Truk….I assume you know where Pelican Lake is, are you still in Everglades Isle?

    Jon,

Thank you for the guidance. I think it is the best way to start. My only needs at the moment are

as many slides as my wallet can tolerate and a king size bed or something close. I think I can change

anything else from there. However, it may not pay me to go the extreme makeover route.

I do like projects 🙂 I will be fulltime in this coach and let’s face it Prevost is a longtime sturdy coach.

that holds its value better than any other. I have shopped for RVs for 12 years. Bought my dream fifth wheel.

Then after 1 year I am on the market for a motorhome. After looking at seemingly every motor home on the market across various states and RV shows with factory reps. I have come to the conclusion a Prevost will be in my near future. The only other coach that seems to come close is a Newell.

Other than Dallas and Florida. Where are some good places to shop for a Prevost? My home base is Houston

    for now.

    Best Regards,

    Ben

LocStar…….maybe the King is confused. He might think you still work for us so he feels comfortable poking you with a stick. And what’s with the abuse you are heaping on Liberty 2 slide owners? What did we ever do to you beside provide a lot of bailout money?

I also received my CANPod hardware from Ray yesterday. Very easy to set up and works great. The only problem is the iPAD belongs to the wife and it sounds like I may have to get another one to use for the RV DASH! But it looks great. Ray has really done a wonderfull job on this app and it will be a great addtion to the bus. Ray’s web site has very clear instructions on how to configure the iPAD to talk to the CANpod. I had it working in less then 5 minutes.

I would suggest you start with Newcoast Financial. Their contact information is in our list of advertisers. They know Prevost coaches.

Last time I bought tires, I THINK I actually got a decent deal @ Prevost, Mira Loma. Also, there’s a Lifeline dealer in the LA area.

Just on quick thing I have not seen in this thread is if you have a dump on both sides, be sure to use both of them often enough to keep a clog from happening.

Jon, Thanks for the info! I will contact the Jax service manager and see if he can help. I would like to know what else has not been maintained on this coach by the previous owner.

After all the posts and anecdotal evidence about XLII de-lamination, what do we really know at this point ? 1) All XLII shells have this problem to some extent. Evidently the bonding process during manufacturing was faulty. 2) re-affixing panels with the same material, sika, or loc-tite does not appear to be a permanent fix. 3) Re-bonding and then riveting with a cover strip will likely keep the panels on at the edges, but will not prevent voids in between. That said, it may be the best solution because you can also rivet the flanges on the bay door panels as they are unseen with doors closed. 4) Prevost will probably keep their present policy of treating each situation on a case by case basis along with an age cut off date. Since most of us either unable or unwilling to buy a new or a 1-4 yr old coach, how does this affect the rest looking to buy a newer coach ? To us, it’s fairly obvious. We recently passed on a coach that normally would have been just what we were looking for. i.e. The right price, the right mileage (not to low) and the right floor plan. A one owner coach always stored inside in a good climate part of the country. No loose edges yet, but plenty of hollow spots. Just not willing to take a chance ! We, like many others prefer the XL’s for varying reasons, but we are resigned to looking for the right H. BTW, has anyone else noticed the paucity of 2000-2004 H’s (unless you want a Vantare) along with the abundance of XLII’s for sale lately ? We love the looks of the XLII, but we’re liking our rivets more and more right now.

I have done Beacons many times and I did the “Rain” thing once ( don’t worth it). I now think the way to go is to use the guys that work in the RV parks. You get far more service for your money, plus it is not going right back out on the road. The best is to do it yourself.

    Richard,

If you are not too far from Nashville, TN contact Pieter@almostchrome.com They maintain the wheels and siding on many of the entertainers and stay most of the time at Prevost Nashville. We had them come out to the Nashville KOA in May this year and they polished wheels, mirrors, and Eagle wheel well trim at the Eagles International chapter rally. Great job!
