Jon: Was it a permanent solution?

Thanks for the replies. My father always said buying insurance or a warranty is like gambling. The problem is you are betting something bad will happen and they are betting it wont. We made a deal on a 2015 GCL and with some reluctance got a lifetime warranty. The cost was around 3k.We keep our daily drivers until the Michigan winters get the best of the body and we just dont want to be seen in them. Time will tell if we made a wise decision. Thanks again for your responses.jeff

If you own a Prevost, Jeff’s number needs to be in your speed dial. Don’t leave home without it.

I am fairly certain that the country of origin for tires is unimportant. I don’t want to get too complacent about checking tires just because my tires were produced in the US. The tires on our coaches can be made anywhere in the world, to the exact same standards if they are the name brands we are familiar with.

What a boring world it would be if we all had the same opinions and taste. That blacked out bus does not appeal to me , but i am sure the owner is very proud of it. SWAT is blacked out also. Just saying ….

Paint your stainless, your wheels and Olivia all black and I am sure you would agree.

Great picture of the non-driven wheel hub because it makes it clear where the fill level is on the steer and tag. As long as the oil is at that level the bearings will be lubricated. It should be noted that overfilling can make a mess so even though it is very difficult to see, the oil level should just barely show up in the bottom of the clear section just up to the ring.
For those who have replaced caps or gaskets and have to refill a hub be aware when filling the oil added will move slowly through and past the bearings so after adding hub oil wait for it to flow past the bearings and into the center of the hub housing.
The drive axle oil level is checked at the differential from beneath the coach. It should be checked routinely at every service, more often if a leak is detected. For those who will do their own hub seal replacement be aware that after a hub has been removed and replaced it needs to be refilled and the bearings need to be lubricated. A dry bearing in a drive axle can generate enough heat in a very few miles to weld itself together and twist the end off the differential. Mechanics will often prelube bearings with high temp grease or tip the entire differential toward the hub to get differential oil to flow into the hub.

Solar powerhouse…at least 8 x100 panels…was thinking of mounting the panels on the awning brackets but with extruded aluminum square or rectangular for easier installation depending on panels mounting brackets or slots. Worth looking into it for my application, I am sure I will more questions, thanks Ron

The Cabot Trail is a great trip. I am from the Annapolis Valley very nice there. The best seafood at the Crows Nest resturant in Delaps Cove.

Prevost has no parts for the lock…So your only option is a Locksmith
