That would be my concern. Usually the fuse blows because there is a strong draw on the circuit, a short, or an overload on the circuit. But in this case, the fuse is between the charger and the batteries … correct? Please confirm. If so, why would the fuse blow? I’m neither an electrical engineer or an electrician.

I’d suggest contacting the manufacturer and see if you can get to an engineer who might provide you with some insight into what could cause it. Please keep us posted.

Enjoying my Christmas in sunny silver springs florida with my wonderful bride. Smoking a turkey breast and prime rib.

Just checked my batteries and they are all showing good voltage and charger is on ready.

Correct me if I am wrong Andy but a simple way to look at the FMCA/Verizon plan (with an included hot spot) is that it is a standalone plan and does not affect your other Verizon plans or devices.

Whether we get air from aux compressor or extra compressor, trucks stop air is less of an option lately. I am seeing an awful lot of truck stops that do Not have air at the pumps anymore, especially when I need it.

    Jon,

What you describe as normal operation is how my retarder has been working until now. Right now it’s acting like its stuck in position 3+. That is what makes me wonder about the stalk. Dash switch works fine. The lever changes nothing.

TY Park is convenient to Ft. Lauderdale, though it is adjacent to railroad tracks. Unless you want to have your windows open, it shouldn’t be much of a problem. http://www.broward.org/Parks/TopeekeegeeYugneePark/Pages/Default.aspx

There is also the Aztec RV Resort… high-end, and helps if you speak French (many French Canadians). http://www.aztecrvresort.com/en/lots/lots-for-rent

Tom – Yes, these are 4024s, and yes, I typed 220 volts when I meant to type 120 volts. Sorry for the confusion.

Davy – I think you are on to something. I was checking a lot of stuff last night during the cycling storm, but I am not sure that I was watching the battery voltage at just the right time. At one point, one of the inverters went into error mode and stuck there. This gave me a chance to see the error. The error was High Battery Voltage. The HBCO is set to the factory default of 30 V.

I was watching the shore power voltage during the events, and it never varied from about 123V.

Last night, I was awoken by the first event at 1:14am. There was a string of closely spaced events over a period of about 10 minutes, then nothing for maybe 20 minutes, then another string, and so on. I disconnected from shore power, and everything worked properly on battery power for about an hour. I restored shore power and got hit with another series of events. Sometime after 4 am, the cycling stopped. As with previous days, there are no events other than during that 1 am to 4 am period.

I will monitor battery voltage during the events tonight.

I need to take a nap now.

Wire nuts used correctly are certainly an acceptable way to join the wires. Electricians tape, shrink tubing or any other means to protect the connection is going to be OK, but keep in mind that is a service connection so don’t do something that may end up forcing you to cut wires the next time.

Those of us that have driven ourselves absolutely crazy trying to find out why something has suddenly stopped working have learned the very first place to look for the source of the problem is where we were recently working.

Self inflicted problems are much more common than we are willing to admit.

What will be the difficulties and changes needed to have a 12v coach changed over to lithium batteries or is it even possible without having to gut the whole system? Also, I’ve heard that lithium batteries are lighter and store more charge but are more expensive so when do you think it becomes cost effective to change over or is the change to lithium for use in older conversions just a pipe dream?
