If my memory serves me about tire service on the road..one thing stands out. Access to a 365 Michelin.
Finding a tire was tough part. There was a lot of posting on parking a tire in some members garage.
Then comes getting the tire to bus location.
Another is 365 fitting into a vehicle…

That is a power steering assist cylinder that is added to MH shells to make them easier to steer. They are NOT placed on seated coaches. You can cap the lines that go to it and keep driving , You will still have PS. I talked to an old Prevost Tech at PASS that told Me there was a bulletin at one time to remove the cylinders because they have such a high failure rate. I drove mine with the lines capped while my cylinder was in the shop for rebuild and it done fine. The late Peter Campbell made some posts about this that you can find by searching the archives here. There is no question that systems that provide alerts are highly desirable because it is like having a second set of eyes on the road helping out.
But there is still no substitute for driver participation. Use it or lose it is true and I would be willing to make a sizeable wager that the safest drivers have developed and exercise a skill I can only describe as anticipation. If we were talking about a pilot we would say he is always ahead of the plane.
As drivers we theoretically are constantly scanning, not only our gauges, but the road and road environment. We somehow develop the skills to know when a driver ahead will change lanes in front of us, or pull out from a side street or slow or stop suddenly by sensing body language or subtle car changes in speed or lanes.
Call me chicken but when we sit back and let the vehicle we are supposed to be driving assume more and more control I bet we lose that ability.

Jeff even worked on my 8V92 fixing/replacing my Jake Brake. ETLC also performed many other tasks on my bus and did them well. I’m relatively new to all that is Prevost but I’ve listened to Jeff talking to Jon, Tom and others having their bus’s worked on. These are folks who do know a bunch about what is Prevost and they listen as well. Heck, Jon even offered me a couple petals from his Rose dispenser after Jeff er, re-petaled it!
It was quite obvious to even a casual observer that Jeff knows his stuff. I’ve also found his staff both knowledgeable and engaging. Of huge importance especially to a novice like myself.
Hmmm, after saying all that how am I going to negotiate a better deal when I take my bus up there in the next couple months? Last time I asked if I could apply some of my dues money. I can only tell you that his response was in keeping with his Marine training!

Skip the lift kit. The Sprinter is already high profile and you won’t like the way it drives with a lift. Instead, order it with the four wheel drive option. Get a 15K to 20K winch on a receiver hitch mount that you can move from front to rear. Have the Sprinter wired at both ends with quick connect wiring to make the winch easy to move from one end to the other. You will have to get a receiver hitch put up front but that is relatively easy. Having the vehicle more stock will keep you out of too much trouble. The winch will get you out if you get in trouble and will be a lot better alternative. I would skip the air bags unless they are close to stock level. Wouldn’t you hate to post my Sprinter has the leans.
The Unimog is fun but only if you intend to only do medium to hard off-roading. It is a dog on the highway and isn’t very comfortable. They do make all types of cool attachments (blades, backhoes, etc.) which could be a lot of fun but not a good road vehicle at all.

On my Marathon – 10 yrs older than yours – as long as the 110v breaker in interior AC panel labeled “water heater” is on, water heaters will be on anytime on shorepower or generator.

I went off roading the other day in the Hummer. I was trying to make a very tight turn and when it was apparent I wasn’t going to make it, I actually drove over the curb rather than backing up.
Whew…….that was exciting.
Moab sounds a little out of my league.

I feel your pain since I was on that stretch of road a month ago. Traveling from Tn to Nevada , arizona, new mexico , texas back to Tn encountered many merging drivers who were oblivious to my bus and much distance it takes to slow down or even stop. They do now know what my three train hohorns sound like.ðŸ˜ðŸ˜

The 4 pieces on the side are bolted to the door. The trim piece is taped and glued to those pieces. The trim was put on by the converter not Prevost

I showed up at Jeff’s late today, and the bus made a bee line for your parking spot. Auto Pilot works fine. BUT, some one else has your reserved spot. So our poor bus is stuck out where the trucks use to park and we are on generator.
There have been several comments heard about “where is the camp host, I need some help!!”
You are missed.
