Hi Clay – regarding the signature – no, your profile takes the place of what used to be your signature. You can build out your profile with as much or as little information that you want to share with members of this group.

Hi George, there is a running list of current activity at the bottom of the main forum page. If there is a particular post that you are interested in, you can “subscribe” to be notified when a new reply comes through. Similar to the old site, you will receive an email when there is activity on a post you have subscribed to.

As crazy as it sounds (I still can’t wrap my head around it)… It was a company that we had interviewed to become our new web developers. For some reason they decided to do an in depth “mock-up” of our site in order to try to win our business. We will continue to monitor everything very closely. Thank you all again for bringing it to our attention!

Yes, but we aren’t quite to that stage of the game yet. If anyone would like to volunteer – please do so here 🙂 Thank you!

Good morning Bernie – I just want to make sure you aren’t confusing the “News Feed” with the Forum. Each time a new coach is listed for sale, it will post in the classified section as expected, but it will also show in the News Feed. Personally I like the News Feed and I typically start my day by looking there to see what has happened since I was last on. I get it that is may not be everyones cup of tea, but it works for me.
Now that I think of it, the Forum could be compared to a newspaper. You get up, get some coffee and flip to the section that interests you the most at the time (sports, weather, finances or even the comics if those still exist these days). Where the News Feed is sort of like watching the news on TV, you see what is presented during the time you tune in and get a run down on all of the events that day. Two different types of media and nothing “wrong” with either of them. Just user preference.

Thank you Mike – yes, change is tough. Honestly the old site as a whole was on borrowed time. As much as everyone loved the old format, it was held together with bubblegum and duct tape on the back end. It was not a viable long term solution. And, as others have pointed out, we did spend a fair amount of time and effort on the classifieds. Like it or not, without our dealers and other advertisers, Prevost Community simply wouldn’t exist. Someone has to keep the lights on behind the scenes…
There are multiple ways for members to view what is new. Once you figure out which one best suits your needs it will be a non-issue. When I got my first iPhone that didn’t have a “button” I was at a loss. But over time I adapted.
Yes, we will continue to make tweaks here and there. But unfortunately the old forum has been laid to rest. It lived a good long life.
