If you want to see things get out of hand on this forum just ask about whether to have a bus with OTR, or no OTR, slides or no slides, rivets or no rivets, etc.

To show how much we disagree, compare the coaches Tom and I drive and you can see an example of extremes. Of course he is wrong and I am right.

Up on the roof again this morning. As recommended by several places online I sprayed 409 all purpose cleaner very liberally and repeatedly on both sides of the evaporator coil. Between each application I used a spray bottle to spray water on the coil to rinse it off. It did not seem very dirty at all but at least I know it is cleaner now.

Then I used a pitcher and poured two gallons of water all over the coil letting it run down in the tray and out the drains. That was Jeff’s suggestion and it was a good one. This served two purposes. First, it insured the 409 was rinsed off the coil well and secondly it tested the integrity of the catch tray and drains.

With all this water filling the tray and running through, not one drop leaked into the tray that is supposed to be dry but was full and spilling over inside the coach earlier in the week.

I have read and been told that a clogged evaporator coil can cause the condesation to do wierd things. If cleaning the evaporator coil does not fix it then I am stumped.

Let me follow-up with another question: Have you or anyone else on this forum ever taken the GW bridge into NY headed for CN? A H3 about 13 feet 4 inches tall? I understand it requires using the upper deck, but what about the I-95 ramp that looks to be 13’9″. What will that do to the antennas?

Same with the Garden State Parkway that has one bridge at 13′ 10″ in the center lane. At 65 mph it might rip the CB antenna off when it hits. ????

Mark, several years ago I posted on POG about what your situation sounds like.

Check all your fuel lines by drying with degreaser. Presurize your fuel system at the filter or shut off valve port ( this relative to Liberty, you may not have the port) , or wherever you can.

If the fuel lines get wet, they are leaking/sucking air. In that case have SS coverd teflon hoses made up and change out all hoses.

Interesting that they added a lot of cooling fin area but reoriented the fins by 90 deg on the new model. Kind of defeats the purpose of adding more cooling area. Horizontal fins are less efficient than vertical during passive convection cooling.

That procedure is what I read somewhere on this site. It was apparently imbedded in a thread as I could not get it to pull up using the search feature.

The old fluid had 100K miles on it and had enough color to see it on the stick. (Dextron) At Allison’s reccomendation I installed synthetic, Transynd. It is much lighter in color than Dextron and very difficult to see on the stick.

I did notice that even at 10.5 volts I could manually swtich the domestic house batteries on and turn on interior lights- they do come on. ” Is this manually switching the transfer switch or what switch? Sounds like your batteries are toast, you need to check the voltage coming out of your trickle charger. You could have over charged your batts.

Tully I have a 1992 Beaver and my transfer switches with not function if I have no house batt power. Your 1990 country coach could be the same. In those day there was a lot of ideas that showed up in both Oregon companies. In fact Beaver started doing conversion because CC was doing them.

… then you can watch it on your TV. All you need is an Apple TV blackbox (about $950) and then you can use the Airplay function, which allows you to mirror what you see on the iPad on the TV at the same time. It works pretty good.
