Just thought I’d have a quick look look at another forum that I used to frequent before I got the Prevost bug. Let’s just say I prefer PC! It just seems to be full of ‘my bus is better than yours and I can’t believe you even thought of buying that brand’ types. Somebody started a thread comparing two models/brands they were considering and the reasons they went for one and not the other. There then followed 80+ comments at least half of which we’re slating the OP because they didn’t prefer the other bus. That doesn’t include the posts that were deleted because they were out of order.

It’s a bit like being blasted on here for buying an H rather than an XL or a Marathon rather than a Liberty. It just doesn’t happen apart from in jest which is perfectly fine.

I’ll stick with PC and the PC folks!

If you want to see things get out of hand on this forum just ask about whether to have a bus with OTR, or no OTR, slides or no slides, rivets or no rivets, etc.

To show how much we disagree, compare the coaches Tom and I drive and you can see an example of extremes. Of course he is wrong and I am right.

Jon – Heated debates? Possibly. Passionate? Absolutely. Downright disrectful? Definitely not from what I have seen so far. However, those that don’t like OTR or slides are just plain wrong. (LOL!)

Tom – No problem, I’ll put the money toward next years dues.

We are not getting OTR because we wanted four slides.

Since we’ve never had OTR, I won’t be missing anything.

But, I do have a question just so that I’m clear about OTR. Do you use it when parked or is it only for when you are driving down the road?

    Thanks,

    Mark

Only for driving. The bus engine drives it.

Mark,I did park my coach once on asphalt that was 140+ degrees in Florida and I couldn’t get the coach below 76 degrees so I cranked the Detroit diesel and the OTR and 15 minutes later it was 68 degrees, the XLII system is 90,000 BTUs which is more than 6 cruise airs or roof airs.OTR is a great backup if something goes wrong.
