Happy Easter!
Congratulations on bus barn!

Thank you everyone for your always clear and concise explanations. Now I can explain this same thing to some of the RV ers I meet that have no clue as to what they are talking about!

Look at the gauge above your head in the cluster while driving, house
voltage should be around 14v. With the bus running, pull the cover in
the 2nd bay to access the batteries and check the voltage to be sure
it’s getting charge voltage. The house battery voltage regulator and
relay are new. Check the connections at the big alternator and I assume the serpentine belt is still there. You can check the alternator by apply 12v to one of the regulator wires, but I don’t remember the procedure and don’t want to tell you the wrong method.
The Vanner Ed mentioned is for the chassis batteries.

Check Vanner or Regulator in back. ?????

Georges,
So you’re losing coolant and have diesel smell? One problem area as Glens pointed out is the fuel pump, but also the banjo fittings on the fuel lines. I had the smell also and had to replace the copper washers on the banjo fittings. The fuel lines connecting to the banjo fittings also get real brittle and can leak. Mine had fuel dripping out under the case where the fuel lines go in to the pump. With a fuel leak, diesel runs everywhere and can get soaked up in the insulation inside the Aqua-Hot.

Excellent. There is one area few consider, and I have seen it on some coaches.
The gap between the fan blade tips and the shroud has to be very small. I have seen some coaches with a couple of inches distance and that will allow air to be pulled in from around the blade tips and not through the radiator so that is another area that must be sealed. I don’t know if the space is the result of a change in fans with a smaller diameter or some other reason.

Last summer I removed EVERYTHING from the bus. Then the new rule was, if I didn”t use it in the last 3 years (excluding emergency items and tools) it didn”t go back on board. Its amazing how much crap I was carrying and so far I haven’t missed a thing.

In the absence of an auxiliary air pressure gauge in the dash, some owners or converters have added one, usually in the steer compartment, but the gauge could be anywhere you have aux system pressure.
There is no difference between aux air for the house or chassis in terms of pressure unless it is regulated. Our coaches have regulated air pressure for such things as belt tensioners, floor slides, generator air bags, and pocket doors for example. As long as the gauge reads unregulated aux system pressure that is what you will use to determine the health of your aux system and measure the leak down rate.
The level low system pressures are not measured because they won’t mean much. The suspension can have anywhere from zero pressure to max bus air pressure and anything in between depending on what you are asking it to do and at any given moment the pressure at each corner can vary.
Cold temps will always show leaks before they are seen in warmer temps, probably due to shrinking and hardening of seals and O rings. That has always been the case.

I do not have an air pressure gauge in the steer compartment for the LL system, but there are 2 in the Aqua Hot bay. One I know is for the small air compressor located there, the other I am not sure, is it the one for the LL?
BTW, my air compressor seems to cycle on and off quite a bit, and even more so on cold days. Perhaps a leak exacerbated by shrinking lines when cold?
Also, the left rear seems to always get lower and faster than the other 2 points, so I probably have another leak in the system.

Eagles International held a rally at the Nashville KOA last May and it was very nice. It is located on Music Road near the Grand Ole Opry house and the Opry Mills Shopping Mall. Also has a Camping World next door. It is across the river from downtown and the Ryman but not a bad drive in.

So I got a couple of those. But I plan to use “the anonymous grey Tom Stuff” that he is sending to me if I can.

There are no dumb one except ones not ask! Might be someone with same problem but to shy to ask question…I learn something new every day. Welcome. Bob
