I’m now officially a member of the fuel discount program!
I bit the bullet and decided to go with the FULL discount program by using my checking acct.
It is going to be a pleasure to swipe at the pump and go. Fueling is one of my least favorite things to do, now it will get better!
Thanks to the Alicia and Debbie for getting everything straighten out!

Tom and I disagree on the thermostat issue. But we are both right.
By keeping his fan running only when needed Tom is protecting his coach. It does not have to operate when the ambient temperature in the bay is low.
But as was previously stated the fan is a very low current draw so there is a minimal downside to continuous operation. I think Liberty is alone in setting the coach up for continuous fan operation and I amn presuming their position is they don’t want to risk fan failure as a result of a faulty thermostat.
I am clearly from the school of thought that says we can improve everything and I don’t hesitate to modify my coach if I think of a better way of doing things. However before I make a change I try to evaluate the risk versus reward, and my view of the fan operation is that unless I can be assured of the failure mode of a thermostat resulting in a closed circuit I don’t want to accept the risk because the reward is so small, if any.
As long as owners of coaches with thermostatic control of electric bay fans monitor their operation there is no harm in controlling their operation. But the risk of a failure to operate could be damage to an inverter so it is very important to always monitor the operation, perhaps with a parallel circuit with a warning light on the dash.

So the only way to know if they are in your drains is either to see them crawl or fly up thru your drain stopper or shower or toilet … I guess.
But again, those who had these bugs, how did you get ride of them?

As to the golf cart king and mexican vodka I hope he bings a designated driver. This crowd is not above using all means necessary to negotiate good deals He just needs to avoid the hairless chihuahua we call Tim.

Dick, see the first two words of his first post on his other thread – “just bought”.

Charles,
The awning type you have is not one of ZipDee’s better ideas. If I were in your shoes I would have two options to consider. The first would be to have your awning replaced with a manual one as Rudy suggests. With practice you can open and close that style is almost the same amount of time the version you have will open or close and your maintenance will be close to nothing.
The second option is to switch to the Girard or current generation ZipDee cantilevered electric awnings now being installed. The cost will take your breath away because those awnings first need to be secured so they are structurally sound. That is not simple, and I believe you will need access from within the coach. Taking down a Liberty ceiling is difficult and expensive so before you even begin you are spending a lot of money. Those awnings look great because they aren’t just stuck on the side of the coach and they look like they are part of the coach, but to get that clean look is going to involve more than just screwing one to the roof. I would bet if you do the whole coach you are approaching $50,000 and to do less than the whole coach they look incomplete.

Unless, you will enjoy the roaring noise of the air boats running 16/7 from right across the resort.
I would not even consider spending 1 night in that place.
It is a nice resort but whoever sunk money into creating it, did just that. Sunk an awful lot of money into
a place and will never recover it. IMHO. -
eating Cajun food causes BS.
Liberty also provided a wireless remote for the curb side cord reel with a range of 8 feet! Nice

That picture is a pic of my Freon accumulator tank????? Don’t know how it got on this post? Definitely not an air line going to guages.

Hi DIck,
Turns out my switch works the same way. You can get heat in the driver area without turning on OTR heat. Yesterday, I simply had not warmed up the bus long enough.
So, the OTR heat switch is really for the rest of the coach not the driver area. Always something to learn

Hey Jackson, hope all is well with you.
I am using the Broan ceramic heaters as well. I set mine on low heat and the thermostat at about 50%. It keeps the bays toasty. I also put one inside my bathroom on the same setting as I was getting cold air through my bathroom vent fan.
Peace of mind I guess. 12 degrees will get your attention.

I have run my coach with support for battery charges, fridge, bay, block heaters and a space heater (and lights) with no problem. Just need to manage it properly.
I also tried to store it at a uHual facility (covered with power) and it would trip with just the battery chargers. My suspect is it was actually 15 amp GFCI outlets and not 20 amp GFCI outlets that caused this.
If you have a true 20 amp outlet/breaker that is on it’s own circuit you should be able to get basic capabilities out of it and manage to store the coach in moderate cold temps (I would try to keep it in Wyoming all winter with just 20 amps). I am sure having it inside does help as you reduce any wind chill, making it easier to maintain an even temp inside.
I stored mine outside for a winter in north GA with 20amp for the most part. There was a week where it was down in the low 20’s/high teens and I moved it to a facility that had 50 amps so I could really keep it warm, but once it warmed back up into the low 30’s it was back to the storage facility on 20 amp and carefully managing usage.

Thanks Jon,
I for one have found this site and forum a huge help for myself as a new Prevost owner. I creeped the site for a year or so before I purchased. It is an invaluable resource.
I think we are supposed to take care of each other, listing our thoughts about how we where treated by a business that has anything to do with Prevost or the lifestyle or RVing in general. If someone treats us good or goes above and beyond for us ie; (East Tennessee Luxury Coach) we should sing their praises. If they are not so good or take advantage of us we should be able to state our opinion as long as it is factual. That way our members do not have to become victims or subjected to the same bad service as we went through.
I know you don’t hear it enough, but you and Tom do a wonderful job with this site. Keep up the good work boys.
Steve
(was that good enough to get that reduction in dues this year?)
