FLORIDA HAS HIGHWAY PATROL PARKED AT THE REST AREAS. MAKE SURE YOU CAN SEE HIM AND HE CAN SEE YOU.

C’mon any of you folks in the area that have used these people. Doug needs help.

I kept some of the little pieces that kept breaking off & if push comes to shove I’ll reinstall & glue those babies in place with some spacing since some pieces were already gone before we got there.

I always use compression fittings.

The front leveling valve is a single valve and it would dump air on both bags at the same time. If that were the case, you would think both bags would be rubbing on the frame. You would definitely know the entire front end lowered.
I keep going back to your pictures. It looks like the damage to the bag was more to the lower portion of the bag itself and if you match that with the mark on the frame, the bag would have to be squished to a point that the internal stop would limit the travel. Is it possible the internal stop is crushed allowing the bag to compress beyond it’s design point? I have cut open bags and found the internal stop in crumbles.

Thank you Tim. We have been watching that website, too. Guess just a matter of time. Have heard of instances where people find them in campgrounds, etc. and have bought them direct. Hopefully, will find something in the next 30 – 60 days. Thanks again!

Oops! Yes, Jay, not Ray. Hoping for the rains to stay away so he can get in here and get us fixed up.

Is this a problem that exists on every XLII built in every year? It may end my search for an XLII.

I agree…
Prevost delam repair is on a case by case basis.
If you meet the basic qualifications your case must also travel to Canada headquarters and either approved or rejected.
There is no appeal.

You guys are just too funny!
Poor Jon. (I had to look up ‘Luddite’)…. now I know. LOL! -
Heat pumps are great But! A little noisy and in low temps under low 30’s they don’t work.

Progress does Doug! And a Happy New Year to you and Mary!

The only thing a partial valve opening does is slows down how fast engine coolant raises the water temp. If the valve limits the coolant flow sufficiently the water in the tank may ever get hot, which a lot of owners choose to do rather than deal with scalding temps or pressure temperature valve issues.
If you are very, very patient or extremely lucky you vary the valve opening to allow the precise coolant flow that will bring the water temp to an acceptable level, but not enough to overcome the heat loss so the water temp is limited. Of course that depends on the bay temperature, how long the coach is being driven, how much hot water is being drawn, all of which vary.
