1. Swapped out rear light bulbs for LED bulbs. I know its not as good as new light fixatures but for now it will work.

2. Installed new generator cooling fan belt. Old one was cracking pretty bad.

3. Stripped rust off mud flap brackets, painted with rust converter and then topped with enamel paint.

Took it easy this weekend. Wire wheeled the rear subframe. Once its warm I will etch the metal apply Por15.

I did my bi-annual springtime CruiseAir checkup.

Aft CA needed some R22. He’s the #s:

OAT= 80*f, dry air (for TX, its normally humid),

Static CA R22 pressure was 110 psi, should have been 135 psi

Added about 1 lb of R22

When finished: 60/240 psi w/service valves closed,

suction service valve temp=40*f,

discharge service valve temp=108*f

Inside the bus: 75*f evaporator inlet air temp,

51*f deep inside the outlet air duct.

Also checked the service valve temps and inlet/outlet air temps on the other 2 CA units and they were okay.

Well I bought a villa international dinette. Modified the bracket to fit the bus.

Last night I was able to remove my stuck caliper slide pins. Took the use of a 20ton press and an air hammer but I was able to get them out.

Hopefully I dont have the same issue with my front caliper slide pins.

I have 2 months till my trip, things didnt go as planned yesterday. Amazing how one bad day can make you feel like the world is crashing.

1. Removed all front brakes.

2. Installed front shocks and new air lines.

3. Installed engine battery charger nico 10x pro

4. Installed my final 2 led marker lights

5. Finished painting rear drums, tag axle calipers, torque plates and axle housings

6. Sanded front calipers so they can take paint

7. Removed front discs from hub.

This will be a big week, ordering all new brake parts, new air bags, and new struts. I have new house batteries ready for the install and a new fridge. Dinette is almost ready for install, need to have the new table top clear coated. Need less to say I have a lot to do if I am going to make my 5/26 trip

All I did was get the bus washed/waxed and wheels polished. Looks great but I am $660 poorer!

1. removed passenger seat, soon I will be installing a new fridge and want to remove obstacles.

2. Pushed bushings out of calipers, that was fun

3. Sanded new table top

4. Modified dinette seat bracket, mocked in the dinette.

5. Organized parts to align with what axle they go to.

today i will be making the fridge opening bigger, need to clean inside the bus also, wire wheel the front axle and might start making a box for the entertainment bay, i have house batteries to swap and need to pull the microwave.

removed microwave, new one is in.

sanded table top will drop off at painter, this should look awesome when done

removed rear 6 airbags, wire wheeled all mounting surfaces and will paint prior to install. There was heavy rust under the bags. Surface prep done, and will do por 15 to the surface.

fridge opening made taller for fridge install, need 3/4″ for the new fridge. Pending windshield for the install.

wire wheeled front torque plates and sanded rust out of bushing surfaces, pending bushings to put back together.

New member here. This week’s recap

Monday – wired money to buy bus sight unseen

Tuesday – go to pickup bus but was at Prevost repair getting DOT inspection so took a 5 minute quick look and signed paperwork

Wednesday – spent all day at Prevost impatiently waiting for them to do something on the bus. Finally at 5pm it was done and started the 6+ hour trip home and 1st drivr

Thursday – pulled 2 EG4-LL 12V lithium battery banks, Victron Quattro 12v/5000w inverter, cerboGX with touch and pepwave router from old RV into new bus. Got all installed under front bumper with plenty of room to add 2 more batteries and a 2nd inverter (getting 2x 24v inverters so have 240v split phase)

Friday – ripped half wall out of coach to get to those huge beautiful windows, removed blackout film on windows and put counter back in.

Saturday (tomorrow) – pulling fridge from old RV and grabbing new washer/dryer combo to place in bus.

I didnt get enough done. Ran into a few issues and learned something also

1. Microwave installed. Seems a lot better then the old one.

2. Last attempt at the dimmer switches and I just cant make it work. I had a friend come over who works for at&t and is really good at wiring and we couldn’t get the dimmers to work for the led. Suggestions welcome. I have moved on from that project as its been a 20 hour time suck.

3. Electrical box above the engine had the aluminum rivets break, having the box fall on the inner cooler piping. I was able to use heavy duty zip ties for now to get the box out of the way. I need to figure out a better solution.

4. I was able to mount my rear rotors and calipers. Rotors have surface rust from being turned, I did put a film of oil on them after the turning.

5. The rotor to go on my front axle is the same part number as the rotor the replacement rotor I purchased. It appears the casting on the rotor has changed and the lip on the rotor wont go over my abs tone ring. I will need to call and see if there is a different part #

Another busy day. Installed starlink on the roof, installed pepwave antenna on the roof, setup 2 wifi APs on the roof and 2 wifi directional antennas which fit perfectly under the girard front cowls. Got the KVH RV1 to work with directV but the cover is busted so duct taped it for now.

Ripped out counter top and put my fridge in. Added washer/dryer combo and used spare piece of wood as temporary counter. Moved firefly buttons out more.

Fixed Tecma toilet solenoid and tested all the water, all good.

New Giraffetools pressure washer came in and fits nicely in bay. Waiting on PEX manifold to come in before connecting pressure washer and clothes washer. Also planning tankless water heater But its 240v and i havent ordered my new inverters yet so onoy 120v

Old mini fridge fits perfectly in basement bay. New smoker should be delivered tomorrow so hopefully able to get both setup nicely in bay.

I ordered new rotors from prevost today. The parts from meritor are going back to finditparts as they wont fit.

Started up the smoker grill that will go into my entertainment bay to start the seasoning part of the smoker.

Sad news, I have cancelled my trip out west. Just not enough time to get this beast down the road. Goal is still June for having her moving on her own power, but I dont want to road test the bus 1000 miles from home.
