I would not engage a repair tech that does not have a test box. Without it, one could spend a lot of time and money without solving the problem.

I think a test box would be fantastic………….but……………I have some concerns. First, electronics are sensistive so who bears the responsibility for insuring the test box is functional, and what do we do if there is some external problem that has damaged the original box, and then the test box?
And what test box do we use? My two Webasto equipped coaches used two different boxes. Which voltage? 12 or 24 volt? I have no clue about the Webasto control used on an Aquahot or the voltage required. That may be another version.
Anyone have any ideas on how to create such a program of “rentals” that covers not only Webasto units of all versions, but maybe other “brains” that run parts of our coaches.

I am ordering stock and will see how much the boxs are now. Mine is probally 15 years old and has traveled with me all over the US. They are pretty tough and simple. They will work on either the 12 or the 24v units. will post what I find out tomorrow…

Trying to get a better deal on a test box as I dont remember paying this much for mine of course it has been a while. Price quoted was almost $800. will update you all if I can get a better deal.

Well, Got the Webasto fixed Thursday, I need to order a new nozzel 065, Cleaned the old nozzel and it had crud at least a 1/16 of an inch coating it, no wonder it was smoking so much, runs good now no smoke and quieter than before, wiil get a new nozzel and have for spare, Gary

Gary that’s great I carry spare nozzel to they are only good for about a year to carry as spare , make sure you use it within the year

Sorry to resurrect this thread, but why is a spare nozzle only good for a year? What wears out in storage on the nozzle?

They are good for a few years but you might have to spray some cleaner on it just to make sure it’s has no dirt or gunk in the hole

Tom I have a test box I can send it to you or get it to you at the Parliment rally.
Also Have a spare controller. -
My “Hago” brand spare Aquahot fuel nozzle came in this container so storage time is unlimited.

did not answer and find out what a doofus I am, by not reading the dates. What??

Check ebay there is a guy selling military surplus new in the package test boxes. I got one for $240 bidding.
