    Hey BA, just drain it and don’t worry about it.

    I’ve never seen a compressor hooked to a washer/dryer.:)

    BA how far apart is the Aux comp from the Aux tank?.

    Had a brain storm when working on the refrigerator I have at my bar. Could this be a Heat exchanger for Aux compressor prior to water trap? Don’t see why this would not work. High pressure. Only downside is disimilar metals (alum/copper) and would require a rubber hose to connect. It is 1/4 inch instead of 3/8, but would get rid of all that compressor heat and let the water drop out.

    Probably could find one at a refrigerator repair shop, or junk yard. Size is about 8 high by 12 wide and is double stacked about one and a half inches thick. Would it work???????????

    This does not have to be difficult. A line of sufficient length from the aux compressor to the water trap is all that is required, or if the water trap is in proximity to the compressor a few feet of copper in a coil is likely adequate to drop the temp of the compressed air.

    The more Peter and I dig into this issue the more likely it is that water separators on the conversion side are either inadequate or not functioning as intended. No need to go into great detail except to say if you have any concerns just make sure that before compressed air is introduced to the system from the aux compressor it should first pass through a dryer, a water trap or some device to remove moisture. So far what Peter and I have concluded is that not all conversions are equipped properly to remove moisture, and that could be due to the lack of a device or incorrect routing of the air lines.

    So coming back to this…

    Jon mentioned installing a “shut-off” valve to help isolate issues. I am looking to install a shut-off valve to isolate the door airlock until I can get access to it (or more likely, till I get to jeff so he can get access to it keeping me from messing something up with the panel around the lock mechinsm.

    So what should I look for in a shut-off valve? NAPA didnt seem to have a compression setup, so am looking online. See needle and ball valves. Not sure what would be best to put inline?
