Holy bejezzus!
I’d tell them to pound sand. I’m not cheap, but that should buy a month at a really nice park.
I just checked online. It says their rates are $119 back bay, though they can’t confirm immediately online. Maybe they had a stroke while on the phone with you???

Sawbonz..
The girl on the phone ‘Stephanie’ said “we have our summer rates in force now”…. $357 a night!
It is a great location but it’s a matter of principle. I just can’t imagine paying as much as a top-of-the-line hotel.
I pulled up their site and it says for a summer rate super site starts at $320 and up. They gave me the ‘up’ price. LOL!

Now I don’t feel bad charging what we do for dues. And on top of that we will never ask you for the age of your coach.
-
The only reason we tolerate SOB coaches is because we are hard up for the dues money.
BTW, for those who think we are swearing on this family oriented site when we say SOB we mean “some other brand”.
-
BTW, most of us were SOB owners (usually multiple) before we got smarter. Geo.

Hey Jon?
That “SOB” thing, it wasn’t that way when you described it to me. What’s up with thet?
Here you go:
I AM SORRY SIR, BUT YOUR COACH IS TOO OLD FOR OUR RV FACILITY.
OH?
OKAY I WILL TAKE IT AND MY NEW MONEY DOWN THE ROAD.

When you get a RV resort telephone answerer that asks the year of the coach make sure you first find their policy on age before you answer.
Then if the age requirement would exclude your coach, don’t answer, but ask when the resort was established, Then when hearing the answer tell them you are sorry but you have an age policy and their resort is beyond that age limit.
Maybe each of our 2052 members should start calling these resorts just so we can tell them the age of their resort is too old for our coach.
Nah, no sense. They wouldn’t get it.

Never considered that Jon, this could work. I know one that will not. When the law enforcement officer says, “Well, we will have a quick look inside and you can be on your way.”
Then you say, “Fine with me. Take off your shoes.”
For some reason, they believe they are above all that, and get rather irritated very quickly. They do it to me all the time at the airport, and think nothing of it.
But then again, “what do I know about any of it. I am just a born in America, served 6 years U.S. Vet, paid my taxe since age 16, and seem to be the last known survivor of the war on drugs.”
You know me Jon, one of these days we will push one button too many, and it will all be over, except the cryin.
R
Rest assured Jon, until that day comes, I am gonna stick a finger in their eyes, every chance I get. K.O.A. means Kampgrounds of America or it could mean Keep Out _______ ….. Well, I best stop right now.
What type of coach is that?
Silver Eagle.
What year is it?
2015.
Oh lookie T-shirts (droppin credit card on counter) I need four days sport!

Geo/Jim&Chris,
When I called to make reservations for this year’s Oysterfest I faced the 10 year delimma question. A photo was requested to confirm my coach met their expectations, and that was inspite of identifying myself as a PC Oysterfest participant. Sent the photo and recieved a, “Y’all come on down” reply. Of course when I got there my space was right beside the “Doggie Walk Park.” I got the message. How sweet.
Seldom do I see the exterior of my coach, except for what I can see in the side view mirrors. Almost universally when I engage in conversation with folks at campgrounds or resorts they think the coach is almost new. I refer to it as an “Old Coach”, perhaps it would be best to follow Jon’s phrasology and say it is “A Classic Coach.” Heck, next year the coach will qualify to be tagged with an antique vehicle plate! As for me, well I have a few more good years ahead of me before anyone can tag my backside with any kind of “Antique” plate! Until then we will just keep on rolling up the miles making lots of “diesel dust” with the classic two cycle. Sounds so sweet going through the tunnels on I-40 in Western NC and Eastern Tenneessee.
We did make some total changes to the interior at Jeff’s over the winter. They made a total transformation to the coach. Now that I’m back in home territory, work begins on the exterior with paint removal and polishing the exposed stainless. Plan is to raise the exposed stainless to the rivet line just below the windows. Colors and scheme not finalized yet but will consist of two basic colors (Cool Vanilla with Royal Torqoise and black pinstripes – maybe even some small amount of knurled silver sheeting). Maybe the additional exposed polished stainless will blind the check in clerks so the least of their worries is the age of the coach, which I’m sure most of them would love to own as well.
OK, stepping down from the soap box and turning it over to y’all.

If you are ever passing through St. Joseph MO. that Cracker Barrel has the nicest manager we have ever met. His name is Brian. While we were having dinner, and yes we stayed for breakfast as well, Brian made a walk around of the building. He came to our table and complimented us on the beautiful coach we had and that we were welcome to stay as long as we wanted. It does not get any better than that. Oh yes, there were tornado warnings that night so he provided best places to find shelter close by if the sirens went off. So it did get a little better than what I said above.

Sunset Point RV Resort Lake LBJ by the Dam, Austin/Marble Falls Tx. area, has the same 10 year policy. Have stayed there several times in my old coach. They don’t ask and I don’t tell. Never put year on register slip. First time we stayed weekend, RV Host Guy comes in and says you must be Glen. I say, “Yes I am. Sorry I Don’t know you.” He says “Don’t know you either it’s all over your bus”. Forget Coach is tagged “Glen” and toad F150 Ford is tagged “Glen S.” So far no problems but if there is one, will go on down the road.

Will, after having met you and seen your coach last week at Jeffs place, any campground should welcome you with open arms and park you in their number 1 spot.
