I never would have guessed it was named after a Navy flier. No actual disrespect was ever intended, but the name was an occasional punch line for a bunch of young Marine controllers with filthy minds.

Although just a couple of days ago flew into KEYW for a couple of hours debated just a walk around vs a true pre flight…decided to do the right thing…fuel control was leaking engine belly pan coated with Jet A not to mention potential failure of the fuel control unit …reinforces taking the extra 10 minutes and looking things over.

Al, I cannot speak to what others do, but the last thing I do before driving the coach is to visit the bathroom. Old pilot habit which was to never ever pass up an opportunity to take a leak.
