Swapping out marker/turn/brake/etc lights with LED

In exchange for his efforts on behalf of Prevost Community Tom and I agreed we would waive his membership fees for next year. Is that a deal or what????????

Had the opportunity to ride along with Bernie today in his 2007 XLII 2/s with stacker trailer.
Mission; 6 new tires on the stacker, and no cutting corners. Goodyear G-614RST, T 235/85R -16.
Top of the line 70 mph rated , load range G.
Bernie, a very knowledgeable Marathon owner keeps a close eye on the entire process. Had a blow out on his last trip. Age and miles sort of told him to replace. Could have replaced just the one they did look good and well with-in time codes.
It’s a close call … chooses safety over risk. Stays with his bus….No drop off and out for a sandwich.

Holy cow BA, while I was spending my cash I forgot to give you seven bucks for the brake spoon.
We’ll settle up tomorrow. It was kind of funny when on our way to CarQuest to buy a brake spoon we passed a Napa store and he said they have it, I said no they don’t, I called. Well he made me stop and he ran in and sure enough the guy I talked to didn’t know what it was. Al found it on the rack and came out smiling, I told you so. He would not be denied. One way to get your friends to buy tools. Go Napa.

72 ,000 miles and I had thread left, just didn’t trust them anymore. I’m not a Goodyear fan but for a 16inch tire this is the highest weight and speed rated tire made.

You need Pressure Pro’s for all those rolling tires, contact me if you want a price. Al was going to get a set, but decided on LED’s instead.

Here’s the LED panel lights I installed in my side curb lights. All low to the ground lamps got one LED panel and the higher ones got 2. These work great and put out a lot more light than the original incandescents.

Here’s the one’s I ordered. I think I ordered 25. Of which, one had a bad solder joint and 2-3 had the red/black wires backwards. You can’t beat the price. I soldered the leads to the mounting posts for the old bulbs and did not use the connectors shown. The panels are held in place with foam weather stripping. These are not rated for damp locations. I figured for the price, I’d give them a try. I was going to eposy coat the back side of the panels, but figured for a buck a piece I didn’t care. FWIW, 3 will fit in the lens if you really want a lot of light.

I was wondering if your could list the LED bulbs you bought or if it was the whole assembly you bought? I want to keep my same light configuration and the look but want the new LED look. Also if you have reference to the side marker lights. I will be putting them on a 97 XL, your time is appreciated!

Did you have to install an LED compatable flasher or load resistor when you changed to LED? If it is as simple as changing the bulbs that would be great.

The
bulbs I went with are all designed to work as direct swaps and do not need any
load resistors for them to work. I was worried about that and expected
them to flash faster than stock bulbs, but they flash at the same rate. They
are a little more expensive then stock, but they provide a much
cleaner/brighter light. Figured anything to make the brakes/turn signals a
little more noticeable is worth the extra couple dollars. -

thank you so much for sharing the part numbers and the link to superbright. I have placed my order and am looking forward to making our coach a lot more visible. We are getting ready for the move to the NCR and driving with a well lit coach will help.

Has anyone tried just using the white LED behind the red and amber lens? I am wondering why you need a red LED?
