The older sensors many years ago had an issue with the “o” rings and that was corrected.

As my tires were being installed, I point blank asked about new valve stems and was told they were not needed! I guess I should have requested new stems in spite of the advice….and now I wish I had.

I’m struggling with the sensors announcing alerts for one reason of the other…or not working at all. I’m thinking when we get back off this trip, I’m going to completely delete and reset all the sensors while the bus is in my barn, pressuring all the tires precisely and with the temps all stable. I’m hoping that will help bring my P/P up the the level of satisfaction many seem to enjoy.

By the way…am I missing a way to turn this thing off….that is, without digging down in the dash to unplug it?

Update…We drove another 125 miles yesterday. After a few days of alarms I couldn’t understand…yesterday, start to finish, they worked flawlessly. I noticed yesterday before we pulled out, two of the 12 sensors were showing ???. But as we got underway, everything seemed to fall in place and performed as advertised for the rest of the trip. I’m a happy camper…love to be able to get a quick look at pressures all during the day. I am going to install a switch to be able to turn it off…no use in it staying on for days and weeks on end if I’m not on the road. Thanks for the help, Tom…ty

You can adjust the low pressure alert setting, assuming your tires are at the correct pressure and you’re not losing air. If the system was setup in warm or hot temps and you’re now in colder temps causing the alert, adjust the alert percentage to compensate. Or, reprogram the wheel positions you’re having trouble with until you get home. I agree, the easiest thing to do is start over once your back home, but if you can air up your tires with your aux system, no point waiting until you get home, just reset and start from scratch. It’s an easy process, following the book instructions.

As to your comment of not working at all, elaborate on that so I can try to help.

Jerry – mixing the new sensors with the old is no problem per Pressure Pro.

    PC experts,

I installed the Pressure Pro this summer, I fabricated a small bracket and placed it under my ignition switch. We are headed down to Indio, CA so this is my first time running with the system. The only issue I found is I loose connection to the sensors on the rear duals periodically. I ran the external antenna into the drivers compartment to keep it neat, I repositioned the antenna at Idaho Falls in the compartment and found that it worked well for drivers side, but lost passenger side wheels. Any recommendations regarding placement of the antenna.

    Thank you!

I’m pleased to report that Steve with L & S Safety (my Pressure Pro Distributor) has joined the PC forum and will be active regarding Pressure Pro questions and answers. If you bought a Pressure Pro system from myself or Jeff, it came from L & S Safety.

Steve is working with Jeff and the Pressure Pro techs about the loss of signal that some users are experiencing with the Pulse system.

    Welcome Steve….

    Tom,

Thank you for letting me join your community. As a distributor for PressurePro basically since their inception, we generally have a good amount of technical information and can be of help as needed. I welcome any and all questions and if I don’t have the answer to a question I can usually get one fairly quickly.

I look forward to hearing from the members regarding their PressurePro experiences and suggestions.

I use the signal extender antenna, and it is mounted inside the bus in the back bedroom. I have had no signal loss, even when pulling my stacker trailer with 6 extra sensors. Works great!

The only tip I would give, is to set up the percentages for alarms, especially low pressures, and give yourself enough difference between low pressure alarm and the normal cold pressure. If not, the alarm will go off with the colder temp outside.

    Tom.

Would having Nitrogen in the Tires help with the Hot/Cold Tempature Changes ?

Probably not, but the tire dealers that sell N will tell you how it does everything except butter your toast.
