We took a quick drive to ETLC to check our route in the car. We are only 28 miles away as we are near Blackberry Farms. There are a few low trees but we’ll make it fine leaving Walland for Vonore.

Looking forward to the classes, I’ll have to cram Saturday night for the finals on Sunday (college memories).

I was thinking after graduation, we will have earned our doctorates ‘in all things mechanical’, we can put ‘PhD’ after our names.

I’ve attended a towing seminar by Miller. He certainly knows his industry. If I ever need a tow he’s my 1st call. I think you all will learn a lot and be confident if you ever need a tow after the seminar.

Well?!?!? Besides the strangely and constantly wet parking area, how is the seminar going?!?

Ironically the biggest problem is not the wet parking areas, but having to sweep up rose petals.

On behalf of the attendees, I want to express my appreciation for a great seminar put on by Jon and Tom, and hosted by Jeff. A big thanks to all who helped put this weekend together. We met a lot of super folks and gained a lot of information from Prevost owners who attended.

We also express our sincere gratitude to Tom, Jon, and Jeff for a a spectacular seminar – a wealth of information, good food, and many new friends. The topics covered were excellent and the generosity of American Fleet as they raffled off a Series 60 engine (I think the raffle was rigged considering who won – LOL).

A special thank you to John Hawkins from Miller Industries for presenting an exceptional demonstration of how your coach should be towed. There is nothing like seeing the type of tow vehicle you should expect and how it is done!

We were pleasantly surprised by the snowstorm of rose petals – never did see the drones that brought them in…

And last, but not least, we could not leave before experiencing one of Jeff’s world famous oil changes!

We also want to say ‘Thank You’ and how much we appreciate Jon, Tom, Jeff and John Hawkins who put on an excellent seminar along with the help of Jeff’s son, Josh, Brittany and the other co-workers.

All of the seminar information was packed into a flash-drive ……… which included the blue-prints to the Space Shuttle or something close. The wiring guides that we can access look like they came from the Empire State building. :o)

Buddy Brown was the on staff professional photographer and did an excellent job (I’m sure his PC dues will be discounted).

If you decide to attend a ‘Know your Prevost Seminar’, you will not leave hungry! You will be full of Prevost knowledge, delicious food and drink!

We also met so many wonderful Prevost owner’s (and soon-to-be owner’s).

Cindy & I want to express our sincere gratitude to Jon, Tom, and Jeff for hosting this Seminar. Their knowledge on these complex machines is exceptional, and the “hands on” sessions make it come alive, highlighted by John’s towing demo. We hope to use this information to not only locate & buy our first Prevost, but to safely operate and maintain it in the years to come. Of course, Jeff & Josh will be intimately involved in that end as well. The new friendships was an exceptional bonus & we look forward to fostering those relationships in the years to come. Like to say thanks to Tom, Jon and Jeff for putting on an outstanding seminar. Gabi and I learned a lot and I am now in big trouble because of it.

Very soon, Gabi will be pestering me with questions before we depart … “Did you do this? …”, “Did you look at that? …” and so on. All things she was previously oblivious to.

We learned a lot and this seminar was worth every Dollar we paid for it. I hope that we wil never require a tow. But if we do, now we know what to ask for and to what to look for.

Finally, a lot of people we have known only from the bulletion board, we now were able to meet in person. That was very nice too.

As others have said, thanks Jeff, Josh, Danny, Johnny and Brittany for everything you all did this weekend. Answering questions, walking through the underside of a coach, servicing attendees coaches, organizing food and grilling.

Thanks to John from Miller Industries for such an informative discussion on towing. I think we all walked away with a much needed amount of knowledge for something we all don’t ever want to use. That and for bringing some very cool bling to show off. Now if any of us ever need to get hooked onto, we can hope it happens when we have as much working space for the tow truck operator to do their work safely as John had in the parking lot.

Thanks to Brian from American Fleet for bringing an example of their work and going through what they all do. I am sure I am not the only one that doesn’t ever want to give American Fleet business, but if I ever am in the unfortunate circumstance of having to make a decision between extensive work on the DD S60 or getting a swap, I know I have American Fleet to look to.

And finally thanks to Jon and Tom for putting this together. The topics were a perfect mix and I know I came away with a great amount more knowledge of my coach and what I need to know when it comes to owning my coach. This is the second Prevost Community event I have taken part in and this one was so much more informative then the first (the first being the one at Lazy Days a couple springs ago). On top of that I was very glad to see both members of all the coach couples taking part in the event as well as so many Prevost owners in waiting taking advantage of events like this as a way to arm themselves with as much understanding as possible to make their purchase a success.

Now that the second seminar has ended with success, judging by all reports, has the time come to take it “on the road”? There are probably a thousand reasons not to but, it might be worth exploring.

As everyone has said the seminar far exceeded my expectations. Hard to believe a forum started by some friends with coaches has grown into such a fine community. Thanks for all the hard work to: Tom, Jon, Jeff, and the whole ETLC team. The demos were exceptional from American Fleet and Miller Industries. How fortunate we all are as members to have the resources this group collectively brings to the table.

Also met a bunch of great people and saw some great coaches.

We have discussed the potential for different venues fo the seminar because we clearly understand how the location may be stopping some folks from having the ability to attend.

Part of the program however is to make sure we can access the underside of a coach so the venue must have the wheel lift hoists that Jeff has. A pit will not allow for an entire class to gather around to see what is being discussed, and there is no way a class can lay under a coach on stands.

But there is another consideration. Wherever the seminar is held we need a “Jeff” with broad based experience and knowledge of not only the Prevost chassis and all the iterations, but of the conversions. Jeff is an important part of our seminars and the success of them is to a great extent because of him.

I think Tom and I are willing to travel, and maybe Jeff is also, but right now we think the success of the seminars is the combination of people, venue and ability to access the underside of a coach, plus if needed get our hands on any component that might be a topic of discussion, such as Jeff’s take off parts, tools, and expensive engine oil.
