Just signed up Jan and I. Sharon said that there is 20 signed up as of today.

Made reservations today for Barb and I arriving 9/26. We’ve never been to one of these, and I’ve never met anyone on this forum in our travels. Looking forward to another of lifes first time experiences.
-
Dan and Barb, you’ll have a blast and you won’t meet better people. We learn something everytime. Jetta TDI cup car ? Road racing ? I race a GT-1/SPO car in SCCA. Geo
-
Yes, raced SCCA in the seventies with a Lotus Elan, ran a couple races with P L Newman. Followed that with 33 years in the BMW club as driving instructor, probably 100 hours of track time at Road America for example. All done now.
Talk about nice people, I met Tom and Dorothy Young (2000 H3-45) from North Carolina a couple weeks ago in Calgary. He is only one year into his H experience, so I told him about our forum, and I think he will be getting on board soon.

So we need to start thinking about some extra curricular activities.
Maybe some BBQ & ice cream at the hanger.
We’ll have several new rigs in the 44th Street yard.
We have several active drilling rigs close to town but you’ll need FRC clothing and steel toed boots.
There is a frac job running +/- 2.5 hours west of OKC. Same clothing requirements.
I can most likely arrange a vault tour at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum just west of Twin Fountains. This could also include dinner.
Easy to do any number of meals on Route 66 which runs right by the RV park.
Thoughts?

The vault tour sounds like a winner to me. How does that work with a dinner included?
BBQ and Ice Cream at the hanger would be great, but too much work. We’re having a chili cook off, not sure what date Al has planned for that.
-
Chili contest is lunch maybe start tasting 11:30—12 o’clock first or second day. No arrangement with other food items, except we’ll bring… spoons, bowls, napkins and crackers.
Beverages….. BYOB.
I think maybe a couple hours at max for chili contest. Currently 5 chili entries signed up
Should be a good crowd mixer as everyone attending PC no-rally is invited to taste and vote.
Truk4u…. 1st rally day is Friday , so if we do the chili on Saturday all buses should be at Twin Fountains and not under the gun getting there chili ready…..just thinking
FWIW …being able to tour an oil rig is an opportunity few get and worth time and effort. We spent part of an afternoon at the Cowboy Museum, not able to see it all. The vault tour and dinner…we’re in.
-
If we end up doing the hanger BBQ, you don’t want to miss Jdub’s ice cream machine.
-
Al
I think Lauren and I will be attending as well
I just called the park and they still have space
Bill
-
Bill, we might as well set up a time for “Alaskan Adventures” or else thats all you’ll be spending your time doing.
-
Chili on Saturday seems like the way to go to make sure everyone can be ready especially if it’s a lunch event. A vault tour of the Museum would be way too good to pass up with or without dinner . Definitely in for that or a trip to the Museum for a regular visit. Is the Cattleman’s still a destination for Oklahoma steaks?
-
Hey Al…I just figured out your lack of bus issue..buy Tom’s “H” and then he can go get his next one a little earlier than usual.
What do you think about that solution??

Mark gets bonus points. He has managed to jab two members all in a short succinct post.
Perhaps the guys would like the ladies to respond for them. We will probably get the correct answers.
