PC members will jump at any chance to hang out together so I can almost guarantee if you would like to take your coach to a rally all you have to do is pick a place, post the place and dates and folks will sign up and show up.

I’m thinking a perfect excuse for a rally will be a welcome party for your new coach.

The rally can be completely unstructured like the OKC rally, or a tightly scheduled one like the recent one in Tampa. Start a rally and Tom and I will buy the pizza.

I hear folks wanting a rally out west all the time. Someone needs to step up and kick one off on the left coast and get together. I may have to be in Montana in July, so maybe there are some spots in that neck of the woods that would be good for the west and midwest members.

One problem out west, is most rv parks are small. These rv parks arent not to willing in prime summer season to book a rally. Reason being, we found out in our airstream rally planning, small mom abd pop rv parks have regular summer season repeat customers. A large bys rally of 15-25 busses may be hard to plan space. One rv park that is pretty large is Grizzly RV Park in West Yellowstone MT is a nice park with good sized pull thrus. Its close to all things Yellowstone including Old Faithful. Not too far of a drive is a self tour of Quake Lake, where a massive rock slide during august of 1959 blocked the Madison River, damming it, but remains a lake with a spillway to help stabilize water levels. Then, 10 miles west over into Idaho, is the Centennial Mountains, Nature Preserve, you drive into and is good to have a 4X4

Further into Idaho about 40 miles is the National Scenic By Way to Mesa Falls, and the origins of Big Spring river that feeds the twin falls where water drops off basalt cliffs.

A good days travel round trip would be to Craters of the Moon National Monument. It 100 miles to Idaho Falls ID< then west to Craters of Moon Its a small park, and the roads are solid and wide and bus friendly if only you want to drive thru,

Also a long days drive, is down to Ashton idaho, and cut down thru the towns of Drummond, Tetonia and Driggs, and taky Hwy 33 up over Teton Pass into the valley of Jackson hole to town. eat lunch around the townsquare in downtown Jackson, and take the road north out town towards Moose jct and travelling up valley with the Tetons on your left back to southgate of Yellowstone and passing Old Faithful as you go back out to the west gate to Grizzly. That would be a busy weekend for sure.

You don’t have to have your bus to attend the rally… if you still have your Monaco come in it or there are Hotels close by… this park may even rent cabins out I’m not sure.

We have had many folks join in rallies that were busless at the time for one reason or another!!

Thanks for the invitation to the OKC rally. I can’t commit just yet as I don’t know where our current coach will be. We have a trip planned to go from CA to TN at the end of May into June. Then, that’s where the BIG decision comes in. I’m thinking we might consign the coach at that time in TX or maybe FL.

I also have a trip planned at the end of August to go to the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC, with my brother and his wife (they also have a motorhome). I haven’t decided if I want to wait until after Asheville to put the coach up for sale or do it in the summer when people might be more likely to buy a motorhome.

I would like to not have two motorhomes at the same time but I’m sure that would be everyone’s wish.

Whatever happens, we’ll certainly make a rally at some point as I would like to meet you folks!

OKC…No Rally-Rally Homemade Chili Lunch Contest.

On first or second day at OKC Twin Fountains club house we’ll try something that will give the winner world class

bragging rights. Noon to 1:00pm.

A) Before you come to OKC make your best “home made” chili. Beans will be allowed. Cheese on side allowed.

B) Based on the number of sign ups we’ll get the same number of like bowls. Show up at 12:00 noon with your

Chili entry in this bowl. A number will be assigned to each entry on the bowl.

C) Cups, spoons, crackers, will be available to sample all the chili entries. BYOB

D) After a reasonable time to taste and vote we’ll tally the votes. One vote per person.

1st place…. $1500 Loves fuel card

2ad place …$1000 Loves fuel card

3ad place ….$750 Loves fuel card

The OKC rally time of year should be just right for chili.

We would hope for at least 6 entries. Couples may enter individually or as a couple. Everyone attending rally is

invited to taste and vote.

Jon and Tom have offered suggestions and yours are very much welcome.
