Will they send you any pictures of the build……I’m getting excited, you must be loosing your mind waiting for that new coach!!

jtmac, they haven’t mentioned sending pictures. What they do send, is a ‘coach’ board of all the choices of everything we have picked out. They make two, one for the customer and one for their records. It was interesting seeing the other coach-boards and all the choices they made too.
I have to say, that I really have no interest in seeing a half built cabinet or a coach in disarray. I want to see the finished perfect product.

I cannot imagine where to begin selecting colors, fabrics, flooring, paint schemes, etc. for a coach.
We both know if we like a coach or not when we see the whole thing completed. But to stick our necks out and start from the beginning………no way. My hat is off to those that have the ability to see swatches all scaled up before they see the real thing.

The designer at Liberty Coach has done this for quite sometime. She has the eye and expertise that makes everything seem so easy. Once she sees which direction you want to go color-wise, etc., she got right to work as it takes about 1.5 to 2 days to make the choices. It’s like she has a magic wand and all the perfect fabrics and leathers are picked out and are coordinated. While we were talking with the paint specialist, she had everything all laid out, it was amazing.

You know that things are moving forward when it’s time to order sheets.
I ordered a mattress pad cover and two sets of sheets, one regular cotton and one flannel set from the lady who custom fits the sheets to the radius mattress for Liberty Coach.
I know a few of you mentioned that regular banded sheets would work fine but then I thought, why not. That way the sheets will fit perfect. We have kept our current sheets for 7 yrs. and they have been fine so I know we’ll keep these for quite sometime too.
At this point we are 10-11 weeks away.

The coach is now completely painted and has been moved into production.
We made the final interior selections today and reconfirming our choices from May when we were at the factory.
In about eight or nine more weeks we will be seeing a beautiful completed Liberty coach.
Can’t wait!

Our coach is moving right along.
We picked out the carpet for the living room a couple of days ago!!! Ha! Ha!
We’ll know soon on which day we need to be in Florida for delivery.
No rush, I want everything to be right.
We are planning a Florida tour as we have friends in Naples. Disney World is on the radar too!

We’ll be in Naples for 3 days to see my sis in law’s movie premier…..Nov 7,8,9….at the signature resort…love to see it if our paths cross.

When you pick up your new coach be sure to allow yourselves plenty of time for training, which also is your pre-delivery inspection. Liberty does an excellent and detailed job of teaching you about your coach, but it is like trying to drink from a fire hose.
You not only are going to learn about the house devices and systems, you have to learn and understand the Prevost chassis. Both the house and chassis have systems you need to understand not only normal operations, such as slide operation, but you also need to fully understand unusual or emergency operations such as how to bring in a slide manually, or how to be able to drive the coach when the slide system controls are disabling the coach even with the slide in (for example).
You will have a unique battery system and it should treat you very well for a long time, but thaty is one area I would consider to be very important to understand. All of us rely heavily on our batteries and if we care for them properly they treat us well. Learn the Crestron, not that it is so complex it is difficult to operate, but that certain tasks are performed on certain Crestron remotes and you need to understand where to access the various systems and devices on the Crestron.
There is a need for regular maintenance on all coaches and that schedule is important. We all know we need to change oil and grease the fittings, but we also need to know simple but important things such as how to drain trapped moisture, or how to access air conditioning system filters. Those are just a couple of examples of things that are easy to forget or overlook. You not only have to know all this stuff, but whoever is teaching you has to remember to explain all of this.
If you live in the coach for several days or a week, and try to use every feature you will learn more questions to ask and more things you need to know. When we bought our current coach we had 22 years of Liberty ownership and I had worked on everything relating to the chassis or house over those years. But despite that we were still overwhelmed with all the changes from our previous coach and I am still learning 2 1/2 years later. So take your time, enjoy the Stuart area, get to know your new coach while still at Liberty, and let us all know how things are going. We all wish we could be getting the coach of our dreams.

I would strong suggest videotaping your orientation. I had my wife follow us around recording on an iPad. We did a stop/start on each component with the initial video reference frame focused on the component discussed so I could quickly refer to whatever I needed later on. I found it priceless. Jon’s analogy of the water hose is very correct – you’ll be surprised by how much get by you as you review your recordings.

I just received notification that delivery will probably be Monday, October 27th, in Florida.
Jon, I know I will be overwhelmed so I’m going to try and not move too fast and try and understand each and everything that is explained.
K and K, my Bell and Howell movie camera from 1975 only has 3 minute film cartridges… I might need to upgrade. :o)
J and M, I’m pretty sure we are also staying at the Signature Resort in Naples. Our friends that live there want us to stay at the park that is closest to them and I think that’s it. But, I’m not sure if we’ll be there the weekend of the 7-9 but might be. It would be wonderful to meet other Prevost owners.

Kevin’s idea is a good one. Keep in mind no matter how detailed you think you are or were there is just so much a video is an excellent idea.
The good news is that if you allow yourself enough time on site, and you try to use the coach while there in every way possible including living on batteries, on the generator and on the shore power it is likely you will get all of the important stuff.
You are going to have a lot of neat stuff on your coach and you will get the most out of it if you are comfortable with everything before you head out for your first ride into the sunset.
Just remember all of us on this site will help you with answers to your questions, and sometimes we will actually provide the correct answer.
