My opinion ….you have a new front cap which has changed your bus look. With that being said you have confused us. Your upgrade is a new look…go for it.

My vote is replace the windshields for a complete new look.

I remember the good old days when I could replace a $130 XL windshield in 20 minutes.

Now I have an XLII and windshield replacement is expensive and time consuming. But like 365 tires it looks cool.

You can probably guess my thoughts on the topic.

Lol ok ok you guys have convinced me, I shall jump into the unknown and try this windshield upgrade out what’s the worst that can happen? I have to buy a whole new front cap lol. I will order the windshields this coming week. Let’s see how this goes.

My concern would be Insurance . I’m always asked have I made any changes to the coach . I guess it’s no big deal because I understand Donnie Myers does many .

The way I see it with the insurance companies now a days they don’t write agreed value they want to insure on there suggested value and there idea of value for my bus is way under what it should be as for many other buses out there so it is what it is I will live and enjoy my buss hopefully for many years to come since I am pre egr and def and not planning on buying a new one anytime soon, I am considering remodeling or updating my interior but that a whole other thread.

Brave man. Assume you will be cutting the side bars? If you replace the complete front end cap you will have to remove the front you just put on.

    Ralf,

your making faster progress than me. If you get a chance will you send a picture with the bumper down so I can see how you mounted it. Also, would love to see pictures as you do the windshields. I was told that the opening is slightly smaller than The 4 windshield opening and would have to fiberglass in about an inch, which for me is not a big deal compared to paying the $10K + that prevo wants for the upper cap. I am curious on what you experience with the center bar and the new rubber, if something needs to be done differently (modifications) there.

    thanks

Alex if you like send me a private message and I can send you my

contact information and I can send you photos via text message of everything I have up to now, I will be cutting the cross bars and modifying my front cap to fit the new glass I too heard the new glass is slightly smaller than the 4, maybe someone with a bit more knowledge can chime in and give us a few pointers.
