Based on the expressed interest in the seminar, demand far exceeds available supply (20 coaches). So, competition will be like wild dogs fighting over rotted meat, unless our esteemed administrators develop a fair method for determining who will be able to attend. I have a couple of suggestions for the methodology of hitting the “Know Your Prevost” lottery:
But allow me to digress. I have the utmost respect and admiration for Jon and Tom, their wives, their pets, and their neighbors. I submit that Jon is really knowledgable about buses and everything else, his bus is “badass,” and he is a fine American. I see a lot of jabs on the forum about his interest in the “Lennon Sisters” and 8-track tapes. I have never heard of the “Lennon Sisters,” but I have ordered “The Complete Lennon Sisters Collection” from I-Tunes which included a membership in the “Lennon Sisters Fan Club” and a secret decoder ring. I am going to give the ring to Jon when I see him in Alabama, after I finish waxing his coach.
Similarly, Tom owns a Marathon, and he is worthy of owning a Marathon. There’s really nothing to add to that.
So, how to determine who should get to attend the seminar?
1. Perhaps preference should be given to those who can contribute the most to the seminar. I have already agreed to provide the beer, and I am planning a Wet T-Shirt Contest at my coach on Saturday night. I am sure somebody is going to top that. NOT
2. How about this? Of all interested participants, the owner’s knowledge about his/her coach is inversely proportional to his/her chances of winning a spot at the seminar (also known as the “Dumbass Matrix”). So, the less you know about your coach and its systems, the better your chances of getting to attend the seminar. I’m sorry George, Dick, Peter, et al, but I win again.

No I did not go into the Administrative functions and create a member named Colt and make that post myself.
But that has to be one of the better posts this year. Even though the year is young it will take a lot to come up with one that beats that one.
I think he is trying to influence the lottery. There is no question if he is going to have a wet T shirt contest my guess is he is proud of his man boobs, but I am not sure of how that affects those who might want to attend. It might scare some away.
But I have no clue how we can make everybody happy when the apparent demand exceeds the number we arbitrarily decided was going to be best. I notice Colt offered no solutions so he likely understands we are between a rock and a hard place.
First so all will understand we picked the number out of thin air. Kind of. There are going to be a couple of times when we are going to be under a coach, or demonstrating something on a coach. Tom, Jeff and I tried to envision how many people would be able to be close enough to see and hear what is being discussed, pointed out and demonstrated and we guessed at 10 people. Based on the items we are going to cover we know we can split the class into two sections that will each cover a different agenda item and then flip over to the one not covered.
For the classroom sessions we think 20 is OK because everyone will be able to see and hear and we think we can cover the topics while having time to answer specific questions. If the group gets bigger we start to lose the ability to have everyone see what we are discussing at or beneath a coach, and we might not be able to answer every question.
We did not anticipate the level of interest so we are already trying to formulate plans for additional sessions. For now the plans are to hold all at East Tennessee Luxury Coach because it is relatively convenient for Tom and I, but of greatest importance is we can have Jeff’s broader knowledge along with his company’s ability to get a coach in the air (maybe multiple coaches), something not available to us at other venues we would like to be at.
So here is a suggestion……..As soon as Tom announces the registration form sign up. Right now we think first come first served is the fairest way. So we provide equal opportunity, I am suggesting to Tom that when he is ready to provide about a 24 hour notice so everyone can be poised to register.
If you miss the registration or are too late, we will be repeating the seminar. And as long as there is demand we will continue to repeat it.

Jon, Tom, do you know what kind of time period you are expecting before you hold another seminar, or what might be your objective of time period based on the demand that you are seeing and the availability of the venue.

First Tommy and now Colt…how many more that will need toilet paper to blow their noses ?

If the demand is there, the second seminar session will take place August 7th, 8th, 9th.
So Tom will make the registration form and we will still limit the attendees to 20 per session, but you can select 7/10 or 8/7 arrival dates.
I hope Jeff is reading this. We made an executive decision without asking him.

Wow, great post Double K. I got complimented by being lumped in with guys like Dick and Peter when I know next to nothing and then screwed on the “Dumbass Matrix”. Well done.

I’ve owned a Prevost since May of this year, I’ve watched Peter Campbell dump his black water tank at Jeff’s once, made arrangements for the oil pump belt on George Prentice’s race car to be retrieved from the Kink at Road America and now I’m mentioned in the same sentence as those two guys. I’m humbled.

Have to take our shots while we can. As I stated in another thread, if and when we would replace our present bus and not wanting to give up bus air, it would probably have to be a Liberty. By then we should be old enough to be allowed to purchase said Liberty.
