Two years ago in Nebraska we were heading to Glacier NP when a tornado was spotted just north of us. Winds hit 60mph (over 160mph at tornado) and we evacuated to the concrete shelter. Only time we had to leave the bus. Upon return to the bus, no exterior or interior damage was sustained.
But like Jon, I’d rather not test the limits of when the windows would blow out or flying debris comes they one of the windows.

Hi Rudy sorry to bug you again but I have a question,I got my unit back(431/12) from John and he replaced some of the 1/2 inch copper pipes on the unit with that stainless flex pipe you would find on your kitchen taps in a house,I’m concerned about the heat rating as these flex pipes are on the cold water in and the hot water out, what do you think. The domestic hot water coil and the block heater coil were crossed so John corrected that.

This is the latest article on replacing diesel engines. How long before it is talked about for Prevost Coaches?

I’ve been reluctant to post but …. in October we had all tires replaced, including the 365s, with Michelins when we were travelling in Oregon. 315s were in stock. 365s took one day to arrive. Oldest tire has July ’17 date code. Superior tire in Eugene, OR.

So sorry for your loss! We have had the unfortunate luck of an equipment fire and it’s never easy.
Good luck with your insurance company.

Harry are you sure? Big dial, center dash, two needles pointing at each other.

Per,, mine (5 sp. 755CR) downshifts automatically until you are almost stopped or it downshifts to first gear. It will bring it down pretty quick from 65 mph working itself down though gears.

Interesting … especially in a very robost economy where business is booming.

I’m truly sorry to hear this as they were innovative thinkers and were attempting to take coach power systems to the next level. I can only hope another converter takes the lead in designing efficient power methods for future coaches. Battery technology is changing rapidly these days and it’s only a matter of time until it trickles (pun intended) down to the motorhome world.

Jimmy,
Free advice. Have the technician start by separating the batteries, charging them and testing them individually after they have reached float. I CANNOT OVERSTRESS THE IMPORTANCE OF NUMBERING THE TERMINALS, PHOTOGRAPHING THEM BEFORE REMOVING THEM AND INSURING THE TERMINALS GO BACK TO EXACTLY WHERE THEY WERE BEFORE REMOVING THEM.
If you find any of the batteries are bad replace the set.
Next, diagnose the problem. Have the technician check alternator output. If a single alternator charges both house and chassis you might have been running the generator while on the return trip and it was the inverters that kept the house charged. If the batteries are charged by a dedicated alternator check the alternator and external regulator if equipped
When the system is charging again make certain the charging voltage is limited to the 27.7 volts specified in the Prevost shop manual for your coach. What I posted is a lot of work but if the batteries are bad you will not be stuck somewhere in the near future even though the charging problem is corrected.

Are you using the electric side or the diesel side? Have you tried both ways?

It’s okay, Jon. We can give you more if you’re in need.
We’re a bit early, found a camp spot inside the park RV area. Kinda tight, hope we can get out of it when it’s time.
