Loss of my coach
Do not know what happened but my Marathon somehow caught fire on the place where I store it. Only had the low amperage trickle charger going from one of my inverters to keep the batteries topped off. Had never had an issue before. Probably started in the early hours of the morning and by the time the Fire Dept got there it was fully involved. I am sick about this as I had a lot of blood, sweat, and time in this making her stand tall. I suppose I will have many weeks ahead trying to be treated fairly by my Insurance Company. I spoke with Jon and he has given me good advice. Wish me luck!

Wow. Sorry for your loss. What kind of inverter. Years ago, after I first bought my coach, it had a Power Marine Inverter. It shorted out right after I started working on coach. Noticed a electric smell and went to bay and sparks were flying out of side. Scary. Hope everything works out.

I had the stock 2800 watt boat anchors. I had them rebuilt 3 or 4 yrs ago. Freedoms I think.

Wow, what a sight to see. Very sorry that you lost your bus.
Will be interested to see if a cause will be found.
I worry about being in our storage facility with 80-100 other coaches, TT’s, Fifth wheels, collector cars, etc. It just takes one to go up in flames.

Very sorry to hear of your misfortunate event.
This is one of my biggest fears.
Mr. Mark: Show these pictures to your landlord and ask them what they have in place to keep a problem with one unit resulting in the loss of the rest.

So sorry to see this!
I have a similar vintage Marathon and would be very interested in additional details. It seems the fire started in the rear as the shed roof is completely gone in the back. How cold did it get over night and was the bay heater on?

We just hated to hear this..I think we all fear this possibility.
I pray you will be treated fairly by your insurance company and really glad no one was in the bus at that time.
