    Michael,

    On the five speed transmission the drivers side of the transmission oil pan has a 1/8 pipe threat plug on it. I cannot remember how far up or down it was, but it was at a height that the cold flid level should be with the engine runing and the transmission in neutral.

    Loosen the plug so it is finger tight. Start the coach and leave it in neutral. Remove the plug. If flluid does not drain out add fluid until it just starts to leak out. That is the correct fluid level. If it runs out, let it run out until it stops.

    The coach has to be level. I suggest raising it all the way as high as it will go with level low, block it for your safety and then check it. If the transmission has warmed up wait until it is cool.

    Here’s the disclaimer. I cannot remember what I had for lunch and I am going by memory. I could be wrong. My wife says I never admit to being wrong so don’t tell her I said that. See if any of the old Allison people remember that procedure. It is very difficult to accurately measure fluid level on the dip stick.

    For elect drawing go to prevoscar.com use the last letter of your serial number and last four numbers for example mine is W6553 look under tech publications wiring diagrams.. it will give you everything you need to figure all prevost electrical feeds and air line feeds also…. no converter mods! good luck… free to down load

    Jerry, having been through the process of trying to stay ahead of leaks I have found with each succeeding coach that both Prevost and Liberty had air systems of ever increasing complexity due to greater use of aux air. One thing I have already done and will be doing a lot more of the same is to start adding shut off valves to each individual air system in the aux air total system.

    Then your focus in chasing leaks gets more focussed. Turn off all valves, go get a cup of coffee and when you come back open the valves. Any valves that have air rush through them are on circuits with an air leak.

    That doesn’t necessarily make chasing leaks easier, but it enables you to stop looking everywhere and allows you to just follow the leaky circuit.

    Those valves are on the house circuits all of which originate from a manifold installed by Liberty. I don’t know how other converters set up their distribution of air lines. I haven’t yet added any to the Prevost aux circuits (not the suspension) but I have identified and labeled what all the Prevost circuits are because they also originate from manifold blocks.

    I have not and will not do that to the suspension because I do not want to mess with a system that critical, and also because the system tells you where to look for leaks by how the coach leans or drops.
