My coach sits for much of the winter in the Houston area. Lots of cool to cold humid days. So I put algecide in my FULL tank of fuel. Full tank leaves little room for humid air to put condensate into my fuel to feed any alge that might be present.

While I can’t answer all of your questions, I spent nearly two years facing the same dilemma as you: A New Class A motorhome or a pre-owned Prevost. After much research, reading every article and thread on this and other forums and talking to owners of various brands, I chose to go the pre-owned Prevost route and last week purchased a 2014 Marathon.
While I gave great consideration to the bells, whistles and various multi-slide layouts offered by Newmar’s King Air, Foretravel’s Realm, Entegra’s Cornerstone and Winnebago’s Grand Tour, my final decision came down to two factors: Saftety and Service After The Sale.
The RV industry has experienced record sales over the past five years and in my opinion, the quality of Class A models has suffered as manufacturers are operating at capacity and selling everything they can build. The dealer service centers are so backed up there’s no way to expect any type of service in a timely or reasonable manner.
Another factor I felt important was the amount of Prevost Factory Service Centers that are scattered coast-to-coast as well as the converter I chose answers the phone 24/7 and has multiple service locations.
While I went well over my initial budget, from what I’ve experienced during the inspection and PDI process during my brief time as a Prevost owner, I have full confidence I made the right decision.
