With such a huge service repair backlog in most car dealer service dept, why would anyone buy a new car let alone an EV. Our Sprinter thru a few dash lights, and three different Mercedes dealers, two in Denver and the other in Palm Springs, dealers told me the end of February into March would be soonest they could see it. Then i’d have to leave it for a week or two.

Question: If a business uses sprinter vans, how do they deal with a van in service which could bevout of service for weeks

    Maybe belts and suspenders.

But nothing wrong with going the extra mile.

Jon, with all due respect, your answers have nothing to do with the original question. But in response to your posts, I certainly see your line of reasoning.

I live near Nashville, TN. where there are a number of conversion companies that build for the entertainment industry. I have seen their work and I just don’t get it. These people are charging well into the millions for a completed coach and yet, their cabinetry is still particle board and laminates. ARE YOU KIDDING?

As it is with so many different projects that people take on, everyone has a set of parameters unique to his or her situation. I’ve wanted a Prevost very badly for a dozen or so years and I have no where near the money required to even buy a used converted coach. I’m so poor that even the mechanics at Prevost in Goodlettsville shun me when I drive on to the lot in my old GMC Vandura. But fortunately I have a lot of skills. When I cribbed my Prevost off the ground to look at the chassis, I was horrified to see the cancer. But guess what? I’m a darn good welder and I fixed it all.

It was the same with my cabinets. There is no particle board anywhere on this bus. I could go on and on but really, it all depends upon each individual’s situation.
