Good stuff Ronald, we’re full time now until we get our house built and data is a big deal for us. We have unlimited data on our Ipads and IPhones along with 100g of data through the AT&T Mobile Internet. So what’s eating up my Mobile Internet Data is streaming TV’s and MacBook Air. Always looking for a better way to score some real unlimited, unthrottled data.

The temporary fix worked for now. I drove 600 miles Friday night and Saturday with no leaks. Yay!

We have reached the point in life where we just do not want to deal with issues if we do not have to so both the house and the bus got perfectly good working parts and systems replaced. The house is 20 years old and everything was working, but at 20 years problems could be expected so the heating and A/C systems, well pump, water treatment system and HW tank were all replaced.
The bus celebrated its 15th birthday so it got all new lifetime LiFePo4 batteries, all new Cruisairs, and had within the prior 2 years gotten air bags, Norgrens, shocks, brake chambers, air dryer, etc.
On previous coaches I had Cruisairs start to experience trouble around 15 years of age so I now believe the coach and its systems are going to be trouble free for a while. Ever since my first coach, and having experienced part and system failures I used my own experiences and those of others to arbitrarily replace parts or systems at a certain age or mileage to minimize or prevent surprises. By replacing perfectly good parts at a predetermined age my experiences with my coaches has been excellent with almost no on the road failures.
My original Crusairs and the replacements perform about the same with the temperature differentials being about the same.
R-22 is used in the replacements and AAP indicated it is still readily available and to date, nothing else offered as a drop in replacement is as efficient.

x2 what Tom said.
But, I once had a pretty big leak in the aux system, then the aux pressure would drop to 90 psi in a minute or two, the engine driven compressor would rebuild the pressure and the dryer would purge.I fixed the leak.
Does your bus have an aux pressure gauge? Mine didn’t so I installed one.
I’ve never measured the time between purges with the bus just sitting there, but I will soon.

That’s twice this morning I’ve made a dumb posting mistake. I’ll shut up for now…..

I have about 245,000 miles on my coach and, therefore, have replaced much of the front suspension/steering due to normal wear of the ifs system.
Sorry to tell you I get that noise occasionally and I just live with it. In fact, my previous solid axle coach had a similar noise. I speculate that something is rubbing on the downward deflection of the front suspension; possibly mud flaps along the road or front wheels rubbing on a portion of the wheel well.
Probably the installation of a stiffer front shock absorber would minimize the suspension deflection and thus minimize the occurrence of the noise but that would probably have trade-offs in ride/handling.

We are in a similiar situation as Don, thought we had a pretty good rate – similar to his at $1400 something with Progressive.
Our first RV of any type, so had no idea what to expect. Also paid cash for bus, and both have 800+ credit scores, no claims, no tickets etc.
Ours is not an agreed value policy however. Would have preferred that but cost jumped greatly. I’m going to look into Miller Agency. I’d much prefer agreed vs ACV but wasn’t willing to fork over alot more $$. Somewhere around same coverage amount Don has $125-150K would be great.
Also have a Fountain boat with Progressive same deal ACV so may move both.

Al, The transfer switch is in the first bay, port side. If the coach has a cord reel there is a 3 way switch knob on the transfer switch box and it has to be turned to the selected power source.

Good feedback so far, much appreciated. This hysteria has caught so many people off-guard, I don’t know what to think about the market. Typically, when times are tough that is when I look for opportunities, but this one seems different. Hopefully we will recover quickly from the shutdowns and life will return to “normal” with people traveling, working and spending money.
Thanks again for the opinions so far, I think we will just put it on the market and see what happens.

I think the answer is miles of experience that impact the development of the coach.
Prevost as a commercial chassis has standards it is obligated to meet, including the integrity of the chassis. For example, if after testing it meets the standards, but a fleet finds that at 500,000 miles on average some structural members in their fleet are developing cracks, Prevost has data relating to an issue and the engineers can develop a fix that benefits not only all future coaches, but in the form of a service bulletin it can provide a fix for existing coaches before the weakness becomes an issue.
These are subtle things, but after years of high mileage experience the cumulative effect is a coach or chassis that is as sound in 15 years as it was as new.
If another manufacturer does not have the experience of the huge fleet miles at some point in its life that manufacturer’s product is going to exhibit minor but annoying issues that affect the overall quality of the coach.

Dick,
I know you use your autostart regularly and just a reminder, the Liberty Watchdog start voltage is way low, so you’re taking life away from your Lifeline batteries.

Tom… when yours failed, were you able to confirm it was the problem by touching it and feeling that it was no longer running or did you have to disconnect the discharge side and see no fuel pressure? Or…….?
