Wish I was closer, seems like there is a lot of great service options in that part of the country. I’m on the west coast, right now, the fuel cost to get there would sink the ship.

It’s not unusual for a battery to fail shortly after purchase.

Definitely yes, I have seen first hand how well Lucas products work added to conventional motor oil as well as synthetic oil. It literally can double the life of conventional oil. I have used there products for years in my own personal vehicles as well as the fuel additives. I spend 9 years working with a NHRA team and we always used the oil additive in the engine oil of the dragster. Even now we are no longer racing and not sponsored by them I still purchase there products for my own vehicles.
1 gallons per oil change for our Prevost (series 60)
2 gallons if over 100k miles.

Thanks guys. That’s good advice, a few things I hadn’t considered – especially the converter trade-in scenario.

lot of changes in early 90″s the establishment of pre egr 60 detroit was a good change. (parts available everywhere) Mechanics that work on the older 8_V- 92 2cycle are getting few and far between. so basic 96 thru 2000. Tires when you purchase no more than 4 yrs old (this can be 4-to 6,000 replacement. Good service records! Just my opinion! Bob
