Ditto here on the day trip, by truck from Hollywood — Maps app says 52 minutes but it seems to think there will be no traffic.
-
Up here on the Cumberland Plateau we are experiencing abnormally cold weather (1°F). The good thing is that all the homes in The Gardens RV Village have large garages. Our coach is loving the 72°F indoor environment while outside is a bit rough.

K&L, traffic???? Florida???? Really????My sources must have miss informed me. You folks are coming over for Clawfest IIRC?
Same for you Dan, you and Barb are trekking up from Naples?
-
Yes, in fact we just ran up there in the Jeep to pre see it. There were several 2010 to 2018 rigs parked along the road. The depreciation melting off those rigs was so deep I had to put the Jeep in four low to make it through. We made it even though the Jeep doesn’t have a mode for driving through Benjamin’s.

Snow in East TN??????? Of course. That is all the local news talkers covered on the local morning show. They treat us like morons telling us how to dress for the cold, how to drive, how to keep pipes from freezing, and how to keep animals warm.
My driveway that was snow covered at daylight is not only free of snow, but is now bone dry. I was actually able to walk to the garage without dressing in layers. I failed to bring all the raccoons, deer and other animals in from the cold, but they all seem to be thriving despite my lapse in judgment.
Tomorrow with nothing on the roads but tons of salt and hundreds of thousands of gallons of salt brine I am sure they will be talking about reduced visibility due to the white dust storm now present as a result of salt.
Everything is still closed today due to the emergency although the sun is shining the roads are bare and the only remaining snow is on the grass.
Sarcasm off.

I don’t golf and wouldn’t know a mashie from an eagle.
Right after I get my smart phone I am going to start taking golf lessons however.
-
I don’t golf too. I bet a smart phone is not happening because you know what will never freeze over due to all the salt.
-
Like I said before, people will be selling snowmobile suits in hell when I buy a smart phone.
-
Dan, yes we are planning to be at Clawfest.
Jon, I won’t say “never say never” lest I call down your wrath upon my head. But I figure life is short and it’s sometimes good to have a little wiggle room.

We don’t golf either, no snow here and the sun is shining!

I am kind of expecting Tom to remind everyone of my comments regarding buying a slide coach without rivets. Another example of the lack of wiggle room not meaning much.
-
How could we forget those immortal words..
I won’t be buying a glued on panel coach, no way.
I’ll keep my rivet coach, no thanks.
No way will I own a slide coach.
Pressure Pro, I don’t need it.
I’ll never have a smart phone. Really, we’ll see.
-
It’s just a matter of time Tom, the smart phone is coming along with the rest
